19th Century Chinese blue and white porcelain Kangxi style ginger jar, overall decorated with prunus blossom on a cracked ice ground, pierced wooden cover and wooden base. Together with a 19th Century Chinese porcelain blue and white baluster shaped vase and cover continually decorated with figures within a fenced garden beneath trees, scroll work bands to base and neck. The cover decorated with a seated boy, concentric circle mark to base. (2) (B.P. 21% + VAT) Condition: Very dirty. Minor frits to lidded vase. Damaged to wooden lid, otherwise ok. Heights 28 and 26cm approx.
Liberty Of London - A pair of early 20th Century Chinese ceramic hand painted tiles retailed by Liberty & Co London. Both tiles depicting Chinese elders with one stood reading a scroll and the other seated. Both set within oak frames with gilt bands and Blue velvet boards. The vendors father worked for Liberty's and Co and acquired them from the store. Each measures within frame 23cm x 23cm. Tiles measures 13cm x 13cm.

The china vases having cartouche panels depicting a young child playing beside his mother with floral and scroll decoration throughout. Four blue character marks to base for Kangxi Emperor. The peach, pomegranate and finger citron that feature on the scholar's panel form the auspicious 'asn duo' or the 'Three Abundances' invoking the wish for good fortune, longevity and an abundance of descendants. The magpies that feature in the other panel are always auspicious symbols, the birds of good fortune and love. The first character for the name of the bird, xi que, has the same sound as xi, which means 'happiness'.

A vintage 20th Century Chinese bowl decorated with floral, butterfly and Shou emblem designs on a turquoise ground in the famille rose palette and dating from the 20th century. This finely made porcelain bowl stands on a narrow rounded unglazed foot with a slightly recessed base and is of wide rounded form, the outer rim finely decorated with floral and scroll designs, butterflies and Shou emblems on a turquoise ground. The bowl has a printed red character mark to the base.
