*Ralph Steadman (b.1936) 'Going Home'/'The Hunter S Thompson Memorial' screenprint in colours, signed in pencil by Ralph Steadman u.r., and inscribed A/P (artist's proof), with Gonzo stamp l.r., also signed in pencil by other close friends of Hunter S Thompson including Kurt Vonnegut, Ed Bradley, Bill Murray, Johnny Depp, Jann Wenner, Douglas Brinkley, Anita Thompson, Juan Thompson, Deborah Fuller, and Laila Nabulsi 74 x 53.5cm Hunter S Thompson (1937-2005) was a prevalent American journalist who was a pioneer of 'gonzo journalism'. Thompson was also an author, best known for his work 'Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas' (1971), which Ralph Steadman collaborated with him on by producing illustrations for the novel. Thompson tragically committed suicide in 2005. In place of a traditional funeral, Thompson had requested that his ashes be fired from a cannon and this was arranged for him by his friend, Johnny Depp. *Artist's Resale Right may apply to this lot.

IV - 20/50: In generally good and original condition.
