Signiert und nummeriert. Lose in Original-Editionsumschlag, in Original-Editionskarton.- Rechts oben zwei kaum merkliche Griffspuren, insgesamt sehr gut und tadellos schön. Editionsumschlag und -karton mit vereinzelten oberflächlichen Bereibungsspuren, sonst sehr gut. Brillanter, farbsatter und 5-schichtiger Druck mit Rand, nach verso ein leichtes Relief zeichnend. Eines von 50 Exemplaren.- Herausgegeben von MigrateArt, London. Entstanden als Folgeedition zum Projekt Scorched Earth, in dem 16 zeitgenössische Künstler 2020 beauftragt werden, mit verbrannter Erde aus Kurdistan Kunstwerke zu schaffen. Die Asche aus der irakischen Region entstand durch von IS-Kämpfern ausgelösten Feuern, um die lokalen Gemeinden mit ihrer Präsenz einzuschüchtern. Sämtliche 16 Arbeiten wurden in den Cork Street Galleries London und im Rahmen einer Charityauktion bei Christie's London zugunsten jener Vertriebener versteigert. Auch unsere Graphik besteht aus dieser auf verbrannter Erde basierten Farbe. Der blaue, bedrohlich wirkende Zaundraht ruft indes imaginäre Bilder von Flucht hervor. Mona Hatoum, eine der prominentesten Künstlerinnen unserer Zeit, macht in ihrem Werk die Fragilität menschlicher Existenz erfahrbar. Mit gleich zwei Ausstellungen im Georg Kolbe Museum und dem Kindl Zentrum für zeitgen. Kunst wird ihr Werk derzeit präsentiert. 5 layer screenprint with high build application on Somerset 300gsm paper. Signed and numbered. Loose in original edition envelope, in original edition box.- Two barely noticeable handlign traces on upper right, overall very good and impeccably nice. Brilliant, richly colored and 6-layered print with margins, drawing a slight relief on the verso. - Published by MigrateArt, London. Created as a follow-up edition to the Scorched Earth project, in which 16 contemporary artists are commissioned to create artworks using scorched earth from Kurdistan in 2020. Our graphic is also made from that paint. Mona Hatoum, one of the most prominent artists of our time, makes the fragility of human existence experienceable in her work. She is being currently presented in two exhibitions in Berlin.
