It was founded by Bob Geldof and Midge Ure in 1984, to raise money for famine relief in Ethiopia, its largest event being Live Aid (1985). Visual Aid for Band Aid poster was created alongside this and aimed to raise £250,000 to support the charity.Condition report: Framed size: 131 x 102cm. Not viewed out of glazed frame, sheet is attached to backing at the corners, a few dots on mid-right edge (printing imperfection) and small indent to paper, otherwise appears to be in good condition. Small loss to top-right corner of frame, but overall well-presented.

While event-goers were able to keep the handkerchief, they gave up their invitations on arrival, making this set of both invitation and handkerchief more rare.*Artist's Resale Right may apply to this lot.Condition report: Shipping size: 14 x 14 x 1cmA couple of tiny marks on margin of the reverse, and small mark below 'Every', with original folds. Overall, marks are very minor and handkerchief is clean and bright. Invitation has a very small crease lower left corner.
