Matsumura Keibun (Japanese 1779-1843) – Ducks, kakejiku (hanging scroll), Shijo school, Edo period (1615-1868), ink and colour on buff paper with silk mounts and decorated roller ends, signed Keibun and with Keibun Shiso seal, further signed and titled to outer edge, image dimensions 118 x 50cm, overall dimensions 220 x 65.5cm.Note: Keibun was the much younger half-brother and pupil, of Go Shun (1752-1811), founder of the Shijō school of painting. Crane stands 28" tall and has a total boom length of 44" (71cm x 1.12m) approx, top boom is mounted on a roller bearing, red and white Meccano enamel sign to one side with an electric motor mounted in the crane cab and connected by a number of gears. Includes a detached hook and plastic bucket. Will require a little work but nevertheless an interesting model.
