A 2 inch scale model of a Burrell Gold Medal steam tractor, built by Mr R. Gray of Worthing, to Malcolm Frost designs with castings by MJ Engineering of Ringwood, the two speed general purpose engine of twin compound design with a copper boiler, the fittings including a water gauge, pressure gauge, safety valve, blower, clack and blowdown valves, the drain cocks operated from the cab, with copper pipework, mechanical lubricator, crosshead guides, Stephenson`s link reverse, eccentric driven feed pump and bypass, solid flywheel with wooden block brake, and Pickering type governor, the chassis details including spoked straked wheels with rubber road tyres, worm and roller chain steering, damper, cable drum with fairleads, hand brake to back wheels, fitted belly tanks and supported canopy, finished in green and black paintwork with polished brightwork, 74cm (29 inches) long. Past Boiler History: Worthing & District Society of Model Engineers Boiler Test Certificate No 104. Boiler Identification Marks N11-120-197 Hydraulic Test Dated 1st of May 2005. 3 large tinplate toys A good modern limited edition reproduction of an early 1900s right-hand drive limousine by Paya, approx 24 cm long finished in dark green and black with yellow line detailing. Clockwork powered, complete with driver, boxed with paperwork. Another reproduction, German tinplate, early 20th century style, Kranich 310 monoplane by D.B.S. approx 26 cm in length, finished in cream, yellow and red livery, complete with pilot. Also a Tucher and Walther tinplate clockwork model of Titanic – another modern reproduction approx 60 cm in length, finished in black, white, red and yellow livery, complete with stand. All boxed. Also in lot, 5 Tri-ang Minic including police patrol car, road roller, crawler tractor, Streamline saloon and saloon car. QGC to VGC, Titanic requires some light remedial work, minor rusting/wear to Minic. .

A 28 bore flintlock duelling pistol by Twigg, c 1775, 15" overall, sighted octagonal barrel 10" with traces of "Twigg, London" on top flat, gold touch hole, flat stepped lock with swan neck cock, ramp on frizzen spring and roller on frizzen, the plate with second type "Twigg" signature, plain walnut fullstock with flat sided butt and shell carving behind breech tang, steel mounts, the trigger guard with acorn finial. GWO & basically GC (cock cracked, top of comb and top jaw and screw missing, some deep pitting to mounts, 2" of fore end missing) Well worthy of sympathetic restoration.
A French 16 bore silver mounted flintlock sporting gun, made for the Turkish market, c 1820, 61" overall, barrel 45½", the octagonal breech engraved and sparsely gold damascened; flat lock with curious shaped cock, raised pan, squared frizzen and roller on frizzen spring; walnut fullstock with chequered wrist, the butt and fore end inlaid with silver leaves, tendrils, studs and borders; silver mounts including deeply chiselled buttplate, trigger guard, side nail cups and throat pipe; plain silver barrel wedge plates and long fore end cap; original steel ramrod. Seaton Tram original memorabilia. A wonderful lot comprising: Dead Man`s/Control Handle unit standing 42" tall, cast iron construction with brass top and large control handle. The top has the English Electric London makers name cast within and the body has a smaller brass makers plate affixed; Wooden Destination box with the SEATON single blind in place; a separate Roller Blind showing Seaton - Colyford - Colyton - Depot - Reserved - Special Car - Service Extra - Seaton Riverside Only; an original overhead wire connector and small length of wire; an original piece of track and a small box of oddments including the wire roller fitted to the tram. There is also a cut down sleeper as used. A substantial and heavy lot to be removed on the day.

A fine quality large mid 19th century eight day English strike repeating giant carriage clock, by Desbois of Grays Inn Passage, London, the plain MacCabe type case with canted corners and embellished with downward turning peaks on the front pillars and ogee moulding to plinth, finished in oxidised bronze to top of handle, the twin fusee chain driven movement with hour and half hour striking gong, makers name engraved to reverse, with English lever single roller type escapement, with original oak carrying case, height 24.5cm including handle (Illustrated)

A RARE SHIP`S BAROGRAPH BY HICKS, LONDON set vertically with atmospheric drum to top, with pin-point action inker set over clockwork drum with sprung paper-tension roller under, a silvered indicator numbered `127` with readings for Very Dry / Change / Stormy, contained within a walnut case with hinged glazed drop front and securing hooks and lugs for bulkhead mounting and makers plate to top - 10 x 5 3/4 in. (25.5 x 14.5cm.), Unlike conventional barographs which leave a continual line of ink to record changes in barometric pressure, this example leaves a dot at regular intervals and which will leave an accurate recording in stormy weather.
An exhibition standard 4 inch scale model of the 8 nhp Burrell Scenic Showmans engine `Simplicity` No 4092, built by the late Mr Derrick Cook of North Devon from Peter Filby designs and based on the original Burrell showmans engine `Simplicity` being a double crank compound scenic road locomotive, the welded steel boiler with water and pressure gauges, twin safety valves, blower, two injectors and circulating pump, water lifter, simpling, clack and blowdown valves. Engine details include cylinders HP 2 1/4 inch and LP 3 3/4 inch bores by 4 inch stroke, bar type crosshead guides with brass oilers, draincocks and pipework, mechanical lubricator, Stephenson`s link reverse, counter balanced crankshafts with three road speeds, gear and eccentric driven feed pump, 18 inch solid flywheel having hand-operated rim brake and belt driven mains and exciter dynamos, whistle, Pickering design speed governor. Chassis details include spoked wheels with rubber road tyres and brass hub caps, sprung front axle, worm and roller chain steering, cable drum, cable and fairleads, eight spine drive to first and second crankshaft gears, differential locking gear unit worked from foot plate, double gear drive to rear wheels, three water level cocks to water tank. The original engine was never fitted with a crane tower, but has driving seat, hand operated brake to rear wheels, belly and tender tanks with rivetwork, water lifter, full length covered canopy supported on brass olivers, extension chimney and other details. The model finished in lined maroon, black and yellow paintwork with polished brightwork. Fascia board sign written `Derrick Cook - Braunton` Boiler history: The engine has a current boiler certificate issued on the 15th of June 2009 by Farncare of Hampshire. Test pressure 150 psi. Report Number F1/406/2009. `Live Steam Models` boiler Number 4092. The engine also comes with a modern galvanised transportation trailer with fitted winch. This is a model of the last showmans engine built bearing the Burrell name in October 1930 and the original was sold to Messrs A Deakin & Sons, Amusements of Brecon .
