An exhibition standard 2 inch scale model of a Burrell 8ton Road Roller, built by the late Mr Leslie Walter Frank Stonier of Ansty in Wiltshire. The model having silver soldered copper boiler with steam pressure gauge, water sight glass, drains, regulator, fire box door and lever direction control. Open crank motion with Stephenson's reverse gear, ratchet lubricator system and safety valve. The model finished in dark red livery with motion guard having builders plaque 'Chas Burrell & Sons Limited Manufacturers Thetford. England'. Solid disc flywheel with brass mount, fitted brake. A freelance approximate 3 inch scale model of a live steam road roller, having single cylinder with steam safety valve to top, driver operated drain cocks, steam pressure gauge, water sight glass, firebox door, water pump operated from the open crank via eccentric, lever operated direction control quadrant, twin steam coal compartments and hand operated rear wheel brake, ratchet lubricating system, trunk guide, connecting rod, Stephenson's reverse gear, solid flywheel and brass whistle fitted, The model finished in green and black paintwork with polished brass boiler bands. A well-engineered 1 ½ inch scale model of a 'Royal Chester' Allchin agricultural traction engine, with single cylinder, being a two speed general purpose engine. The engine has a copper boiler with fittings including water gauge, pressure gauge, safety valve, blower, clack and blowdown valves. Engine details include cylinder approximately 1 inch bore x 1 ½ inch stroke, drain cocks with operating lever, ratchet mechanical lubricator, trunk type crosshead guide, Stephenson's link reverse, eccentric driven feed pump and bypass, two road speeds and spoked flywheel. Pickering type governor, chassis details include spoked and straked wheels, worm and roller chain steering, spud pan, damper, cable drum, fairleads, water lifter, hand brake to second shaft, wooden footboard and tool box. The model is finished in red and black paintwork with polished steel brightwork. Boiler History: No boiler history available. The model is as exhibited at The Royal Chester Agricultural Show in 1925.
A well engineered 2 inch scale model of an Aveling and Porter live steam tandem roller, built by Mr Edwin White of Lincolnshire to the John Hanning design and drawings. The silver soldered copper boiler having fittings including steam pressure gauge, water sight glass, lever operated quadrant direction control, regulator, disc flywheel, open crank with eccentric driven water pump, brake gear, worm, chain and roller steering. The single cylinder having trunk guide with brass oiler pot, ratchet oiler system fitted and steam safety valve. The model finished in grey and black paintwork with polished bright-work, Aveling & Porter-Rochester brass builders plaque to cylinder block, fitted road lamps and detailed rivet work to side tanks. Length 86cm. Width 25cm. The model is sold together with a water cart having spoked wheels, hand operated water pump and lifter, wooden operators platform and hitch for attachment too roller. Sporting GunBy Ross, Edinburgh, No. 56, Circa 1815With twist sighted barrels each with dirty bores, recessed patent breeches engraved with foliage between and each with rectangular gold-lined mark stamped with a crown and 'Ross Patent', gold line and platinum-lined touch-hole, tang engraved with symmetrical foliage, signed border engraved flat bevelled locks each decorated with foliage involving a drum and with a small trophy on the stepped tail, foliate engraved cocks, rainproof pans, and border engraved steels each with a roller acting against a ramp on the steel-spring, figured half-stock with chequered grip (worn and with old bruising overall), border engraved steel butt-plate and trigger-guard, the former decorated with a martial trophy and foliage on the tang, the latter retaining some blueing on the inside and with a further trophy on the bow, trigger-plate with pineapple finial, silver rear ramrod-pipe en suite, vacant silver escutcheon and barrel-bolt escutcheons, and original brass-mounted ramrod (tip repaired), Birmingham proof marks 74.3 cm. 20-Bore Double Barrelled Flintlock Sporting Gun by D. Egg, late 18th Century, browned twist barrels signed D.EGG. LONDON in gold with gold lined pans and with a pair of gold inlaid breech lines, silver lined vents, stepped signed locks, ramped roller frizzens, engraved iron furniture, grip with Egg chequering and carved with typical flower in relief behind barrel tang, later horn tipped wooden ramrod. Barrels 85.5cms. Good condition, some age wear and expertly reconverted from percussion.
FREAKS AND MORE,c.1900, an interesting scrapbook of freak show, circus, wrestling and skating memorabilia, starting from the early days of the London Palladium and the London roller skating scene, the majority of the scrapbook is circus-related, with information regarding M Beketow's Russian Circus with correspondence from Westminster Union to Mr Beketow dated 1908, the book is full of newspaper cuttings, programmes, reviews, there are also a large quantity of freak show, troupe photo postcards, there are also four original gelatin silver photographs of what appear to be the Russian circus c.1900, one in the lobby entrance of the now Palladium, another on the Palladium stage with ghostly elephants wandering in the background, Mr Beketow on a camel and in a small boatThis book was likely put together by a previous employer of the Palladium or a very keen enthusiast.Condition report: The spine is missing some pages loose, but appears to be complete. Foxing, age related wear, elderly repairs and tears to a handful of the postcards and photos. Please see additional images. Page size is 29 x 23cm. Every page is now photographed.

Engraved tangs and flat bevelled locks, semi rainproof pans and each with engraved safety catch and roller. The stocks with rounded butts, trigger guard each with pineapple- shaped final and engraved with a shield centred on foliage on bow, slotted turned ramrod pipes and original horn tipped ramrods.
