A pair of 26 bore brass barrelled flintlock holster pistols of a type favoured by naval officers, by Ketland & Co, c 1790, 13” overall, octagonal barrels 7¾”, engraved in copperplate script “London” and having early Birmingham proof marks and maker’s “TK” mark; the stepped brass lockplates signed in copper plate script and having safety bolts and roller on frizzen springs; walnut fullstocks; brass mounts including flower engraved trigger guards with pineapple finials and shield shaped escutcheons.
