A fine late 19th century 18ct yellow gold Swiss minute repeating perpetual calendar crown wind full hunter pocket watch, the plain outer case enclosing a white enamelled dial set with Roman numerals with the four subsidiary dials showing the months for four years with marked leap year/perpetual calendar and with second subsidiary dial with aperture for moon phase, the age of the moon at the edge from 0-29.5, the three quarter plate movement with going barrel, engraved cock and polished steel regulator with compensated balance with blue steel over coil hair spring and with English table roller lever escapement. The case with slide half minute repeating on two polished steel gongs, numbered 11506, diameter 55mm, approx 162.5g.Provenance: From a private North West collection.Additional InformationThe rear case is very slightly sprung, but overall light surface scratches to the cases in general. The dial is in excellent condition, with the exception of three minute hairline cracks beneath the subsidiary seconds dial, the movement runs freely, ticks when wound. It is presented with an insurance valuation for £25,000, there is no box or other paperwork with this watch.
