Never issued as a catalogued set, Britains created these figures in 1947 as samples to show retailers to gauge their popularity. A composite suit of light field armour in the mid 16th century Italian style, comprising close helmet with hinged visor, breast and back plates, gorget, vambraces, pauldrons and gauntlets, and knee length tassets, all etched with bands of scrolled foliate decoration; the breastplate also etched with praying figure and crucifix, the pauldrons with roped edges and etched with unicorns and stylised mythical bird, the breastplate of thin construction with roped edges, the backplate of more substantial construction with plain edges, the rear skirt with roped lower edge. Basically GC (some parts worn through and patched, particularly the breastplate, elbow cops and edges of the tassets, most fingers missing from the gauntlets, some parts, including the helmet, good old replacements), mounted on a wooden stand with rectangular plinth. Condition Report: PROPELLING PEN Overall condition is good, however the casing does have a few minor dents. The nib does not fully retract. The enamel appears undamaged. Possible lid missing. Both other items appear in good order.

A flying suit of the Regia Areonautica from the porperty of Chiarello Nicchiarelli dating: second quarter of the 20th Century provenance: Italy Flying cap of brown leather, with inside padding. Green, fabric coat, with detachable lining, featuring the label "Manifatture di Pompei" on the inside, provided with fur collar. Trousers with pockets. Badge of the Italian Royal Air Force with crowned eagle. Folding glasses complete with case. Padded, leather gloves. Chiarello Nicchiarelli has never been part of the Italian Royal Air Force. The uniform was probably a gift of the officers of the Scuola da Caccia of the Airport Eleuteri of Castiglione del Lago (Nicchiarelli was Podestà of the city). - Number 22 from a limited production run and 1 of just 390 for the UK - Offered with original bookpack and service book containing 14 entries - Described as 'excellent' with regards to the paintwork, engine and interior Unveiled in 1993 and much-vaunted by the motoring media, the special edition Clio Williams was a nod to the relationship between Renault and the Williams F1 team to whom Renault was supplying engines, and sparked by the company's desire to homologate a 2.0-litre race engine. Evolved from the 1.8-litre Clio 16S unit, the 150bhp powerplant featured uprated valves, camshaft, exhaust manifold etc. It drove through a modified JC5 gearbox and the chassis benefited from firmer than standard suspension and a wider front track. A total of 5,400 examples were produced over two years in three generations, 390 of which were made especially for the UK market. One of the first of these iconic pocket rockets made, the sale car (No.22) has had seven owners to date and is smartly presented in the correct combination of Sports Blue paintwork and Gold-coloured eight-spoke Speedline wheels. The interior still boasts its 'W' monogrammed grey cloth seats and Blue Williams-branded floor mats. 'L580 BGV' is now offered complete with book pack containing 14 service stamps, old MOTs, load-cover with integral suit-carrier and original Hamilton & Palmer security system. MOT'd until 25th November 2016, the vendor regards the Clio as having 'excellent' bodywork, paintwork, interior trim, four-cylinder engine and five-speed manual gearbox.
