Since a sell out premier at the 2005 Outsider Art Fair in NYC, he has exhibited his work across the country and sold works of art to collectors, rock stars, celebrities, politicians, best selling authors, galleries, and museums throughout various major cities nationally and internationally. He has appeared in dozens of magazines, newspapers and blogs such as Raw Vision, Art Papers, Boing Boing, Traditional Home, Architectural Digest, The Huffington Post, and Juxtapoz. American School, 19th century portrait painting of President Andrew Jackson. Three quarter view, bust length portrait of the 7th President of the United States after the daguerreotype portrait attributed to Anthony Edwards, taken shortly before his death in 1845. Jackson is depicted wearing a dark suit and tie with white shirt. Possibly oil on paper, laid down on canvas. Spurious signature and date "G C BINGHAM 1840" near subject's upper right shoulder. Housed in a mid-19th century lemon gilt molded wood frame. Stamp en verso of frame for previous exhibition at the Tennessee Fine Arts Center at Cheekwood (Nashville, TN), paper label on stretcher for McCaughen & Burr Fine Arts and Picture Framing, 1010 Locust Street, St. Louis, MO. Sight - 17 1/2" H x 13 1/4" W. Framed - 25" H x 21" W. Provenance: the estate of Andrew Jackson scholar and author Stanley Horn, Nashville, Tennessee, by descent to consignor. In 1845, less than two months before Jackson's death, New York photographer Edward T. Anthony visited the Hermitage to photograph the ailing president (source: The Tennessean newspaper, April 16, 1845). This portrait appears to be a posthumous portrait based on Anthony's daguerreotype, with artistic liberties taken to make Jackson look slightly younger, and a retrospective date assigned. 1840 was an important year for Jackson, as it marked the Silver Jubilee of his victory at the Battle of New Orleans, celebrated by a return trip to the city for a series of ceremonial events. While George Caleb Bingham (American/Missouri, 1811-1879) is known to have painted a full length portrait of Jackson (after Thomas Sully) in 1860, no confirmed account of him painting the president in 1840 in New Orleans or anywhere else has been found, and the signature and date exhibit some fluorescence, suggesting possible later addition. Please note the Riverbank Foundation has declined to add this painting to their update of the George Caleb Bingham catalog raisonne. In our opinion, this painting is likely instead the work of a lesser known 19th century artist seeking to meet increased demand for likenesses of President Jackson following his death or near the 100th anniversary of his birthday. Stanley Horn (1889-1982) was a Nashville, Tennessee historican and author of books including THE HERMITAGE: HOME OF OLD HICKORY. His collection of Andrew Jackson papers was gifted to the Tennessee State Library and Archives upon his death. Ultraviolet light reveals two fluorescent areas under 1/2" located on subject's right eyebrow and lower forehead area, and a small spot on subject's right eyeball, along with two small areas, each under 1", at his lower right chin and collar. Frame: Scattered abrasions and small losses, 5" area of repair to upper right side. A few small areas of re-gilding at edges.

India & Palestine 1946-48 Photograph Album Group of Three, being snapshot photographs compiled by a member of the Royal Artillery. The main album in the group starts with images in India in the late 1945 period, scenes of locals, buildings, historical sites etc. Album then moves to Palestine with good images of various sites, destruction and battle damage, local street scenes, etc. Album then moves to Egypt and Austria in the early post war years. The second album follows suit with the first and covers the same areas at the same time period, only difference is that it ends in the UK in the 1950’s. The final album is of family interest dating from the 1930’s through to the 1950’s.

Helzer (1946-2008), Founder of Unicover Corporation.In 1895, George Herman Ruth began life in the humble surroundings of his home in Baltimore, Maryland. Throughout his youth, he excelled in many sports, but soon developed an exceptional talent for baseball. In fact, his talent was so incredible that, in 1914, he was persuaded to play professional baseball for the Baltimore Orioles . . . being promised a $600 a year salary, plus his first new suit of clothes. During the first several years of his professional career, Ruth's teammates gave him the nickname "Babe," mainly because he was so shy and naive to the ways of the world. However, his innocence did not stop Babe Ruth from becoming one of the world's greatest athletes of all time. During his remarkable career, which stretched from 1914 to 1935, "the Babe" gained great expertise in a number of areas. He was one of the best pitchers of his day . . . credited with pitching many "no-hitters." In addition, he was equally talented in the outfield. However, above all other accomplishments, Babe Ruth will always be remembered as one of the greatest home run hitters in baseball history. Erik Nitsche (Swiss, 1908 - 1998) "United Nations Around the World" Original Mixed Media painting on Illustration Board. Signed lower right. Provenance: Collection of James A. Helzer (1946-2008), Founder of Unicover Corporation. This painting was originally published on the Fleetwood First Day Cover for the U.N. 22c 40th Anniversary of the United Nations stamp issued June 26, 1985. Nitsche was a pioneer in the design of books, annual reports, and other printed material that relied on meticulous attention to the details of page composition, the elegance of simple type presentation, and the juxtaposition of elements on a page. His hallmarks were impeccably clear design, brilliant colors, smart typography, and an adherence to particular geometric foundations. Nitsche studied at the College Classique of Lausanne and the Kunstgewerbeschule in Munich. Prior to immigrating to the United States, he was a designer for Simplicissimus, Jugend, and Der Querschnitt, creating covers and illustrations. He moved to the United States in 1934, where he worked in Hollywood before moving to New York in 1936. In New York, he worked for major magazines including Life, Vanity Fair, and Harper?s Bazaar as well as advertising and promotional campaigns for Twentieth Century Fox and Universal. In 1955, Nitsche began working with engineering company General Dynamics as art director, which he held until 1960. He designed a breakthrough series of posters, in addition to designing their corporate image, annual reports, and advertising through the development of information design systems. Nitsche designed a 420-page book on the company's history entitled Dynamic America, prompting him to begin designing his own books. Nitsche was also a consultant to the Museum of Modern Art's department of design and to Standard Oil of New Jersey in the 1950s and 60s. Established in the wake of World War II, the United Nations has strived to achieve a lasting peace among all nations of the world. But in addition to promoting peaceful and friendly relations among countries, the United Nations is also dedicated to the betterment of all mankind. Indeed, a major goal of the United Nations is to help solve social and cultural problems for all people and encourage respect for human rights and fundamental freedoms. Black wool coat - slight wear to the lining, some wear and marks to the wool, also a couple of small holes. Black coat - some wear to the wool, and slight discolouration to the lining, couple of small holes to the back. Boots - couple of chunks missing from heel, several small areas where the leather has rubbed. Modestyl panel - some light staining to the top.

A Louis Vuitton Pegase monogram cabin / trolley bag case, LV catalogue no. M23250, with suit carrier bag to interior, padlock with two keys and luggage tag, with tan leather fitments and retractable handle, with rubber roller wheels, 22 x 15 x 8in. (56 x 38 x 20.25cm.), with original purchase invoice from LV Mayfair dated 1998 and invoice for a wheel repair dated 2011. * This case was purchased new by John Henwood MBE as a Christmas gift for his partner, the current owner. The 2011 repair was to fix a noisy wheel. * Condition: Signs of light use - scratches to underside of plastic feet, scuffs and light scratches to plastic wheel fittings to lower back. Light signs of wear to edges of leather mounts and fittings. Dent and scratching to plastic to one end of handle. Overall remains in very good condition.
