Blades clients included Cecil Beaton, Mick Jagger and many other high society and famous personalities. Designs by Lycett Green are on display at the V&A and the Metropolitan Museum of Art.Terrance Stamp was photographed wearing a similar black velvet suit for an article 'New Plumes in the Peacock's tail' for the Daily Telegraph Magazine in April 1968 which was the first editorial on a series concentrating on men's fashion. The current owner acquired the suit from a family friend who was an acquaintance of Terrance Stamp in the 1960s

Motto to base: GREETINGS CLIFF CORNELL FAMOUS CORNELL FLUXES CLEVELAND FLUX COMPANY, and ROYAL DOULTON stamp.A consummate self-promoter and master of public relations, Clifford Black (Cliff) Cornell (1892-1960), the founder, owner, and president of the Cleveland Flux Company of Ohio, knew the value of branding long before Madison Avenue. Starting in the 1920s, Cornell put his name, and the name of Cleveland Flux Company, on numerous promotional items, including, beginning in 1956, specially commissioned Royal Doulton jugs modeled as him in a motif suggesting the British statesman, Winston Churchill, of whom, besides their physical resemblance, he was reportedly a great admirer. The Cliff Cornell Toby Jugs were produced in three different colorways, and two sizes, with Cornell wearing either a blue, dark brown, or light brown (tan) suit, and various matching ties; 500 each of the dark brown and blue suited-Cornells were made, while just 250 of the light brown suit version were produced.
