A rare ticket, for the Zamalek v Tottenham Hotspur friendly match, 14th November 1962, the reverse of the ticket printed with a photograph of the Spurs team; sold with an Egyptian newspaper published the following day and containing an illustrated match report in French; a Danny Blanchflower match report published in his column for the Sunday Express, 18th November; together with an Israeli newspaper containing a match report for the Maccabi Tel Aviv v Spurs friendly, 7th June 1972 (4)

World Cup 1966. Twelve ticket stubs for all ten games played in London during the World Cup, incl. England v. Uruguay, Monday 11 July; France v. Mexico (2 ticket stubs), Wednesday 13 July; Uruguay v. France, Friday 15 July; Mexico v. England, Saturday 16 July; Mexico v Uruguay, Tuesday 19 July; France v. England, Wednesday 20 July; England v. Argentina (quarter-final), Saturday 23 July; England v Portugal (semi-final), Monday 25 July; Portugal v. Soviet Union (3rd place play-off - 2 ticket stubs); England v. West Germany (final), Saturday 30 July, all in excellent condition, contained in orig. printed envelope, together with the original tournament programme in very good condition The vendor took advantage of a deal that provided a ticket for all of the London games, the tickets being issued in the printed envelope provided. All of these were played at Wembley Stadium except Uruguay v. France which was played at the White City Stadium. (14)

An interesting group of 5 to Lieut. (later Major) G.E.F. Van der Noot, Irish Guards, formerly Head Chorister at St. George's Chapel, Windsor, and a Railway Transport Officer in the Second World War, comprising: British War & Victory Medals (Lieut.); Defence & War Medals; Coronation, 1902, bronze medal, mounted court-style for wearing, generally extremely fine; together with a miniature Coronation 1902 medal (6) Also included with the lot is a [disbound] scrapbook containing numerous items relating to the recipient's time as a chorister at St. George's Chapel, Windsor, in addition to his military career; these include two named tickets for the 1902 Coronation at which event Van der Noot was singing [one is dated 26th June, the other is undated and is presumably for the second ceremony on 9th August which had been delayed due to the King's illness], a souvenir 'Account of the Music at the Coronation', and a named ticket (to the Organ Loft) for the marriage of H.R.H. Princess Alice of Albany to H.S.H. Prince Alexander of Teck (Windsor, 10th February 1904); military ephemera includes a War Office letter concerning a wound and another official letter indicating that the recipient was serving in Cologne with the Army of Occupation in Feb. 1919. During the Second World War Van der Noot was R.T.O. at Euston & St. Pancras Stations.
