MANCHESTER UNITED 1933-34 Manchester United Season ticket 1933-34 , small booklet with fixtures for first team and reserves inside, scores of games have been noted, United managed not to be relegated to Division 3 North by virtue of winning their final game away at Millwall who went down in their place. Gilt inscription on red cloth cover. Generally good

LIND JENNY: (1820-1887) Swedish Opera Singer, known as the Swedish Nightingale. A.L.S., Jenny Lind, one page, 8vo, Clairville Cottage, Old Brompton Road, n.d. ('Mercredi', also annotated in ink in an unidentified hand at the head as being 23rd June 1847), to a gentleman, in French, forwarding a ticket for a performance of La Sonnambula. Together with a second A.L.S., Jenny Goldschmidt, three pages, 8vo, Wimbledon Common, 7th April 1863, to Miss. Winkworth. Lind expresses her pleasure that her correspondent will be visiting them in June, remarking 'I only wish that you would be a little more troublesome than you were at your first visit - I've never had a more discreet guest' and adding that she will be in contact again when they return from Dusseldorf.
