SCOTLAND / IRELAND 1972 INDEPENDENCE CUP BRAZIL Played 7/6/1972 - 9/7/1972 in Brazil. Official tournament booklet (102-pages) produced by the Argentinian FA (Asociation del Futbol Argentino) which includes tournament previews and full coverage. Titled ''COPA INDEPENDENCIA DEL BRASIL''. Includes tournament group details, full fixture lists, squad details, lists of all match officials, host City & stadium details, lists of the players, match ticket prices & lists of hotels etc. This was a 20 nations tournament (from all five FIFA confederations) and was played across Brazil. The tournament included Scotland, Republic of Ireland, Soviet Union (USSR), Africa, Argentina, Concacaf, France, Iran, Portugal & Yugoslavia and was eventually won by Brazil who defeated Portugal in the Final. LEEDS UNITED Never Entered / Played. 1987 VfB Oldenburg 90th Anniversary International Tournament played 25-26/7/1987 at Marschweg Stadion, Oldenburg, Germany. Leeds were initially due to take part but were replaced by Luton Town. The tournament included VfB Oldenburg, Borussia Monchengladbach, FC Nurnberg & Luton Town. Included is the official 52-page programme, match ticket which covered both days and also the tournament poster which originally included Leeds United as part of the tournament. It is thought this poster was pulped and was never distributed. Good

Lacks 1957, 1959, 1970 (Replay) and 2006. 1956 front cover detached, 1990 Replay programme has ticket attached. 1967 comes with blue Souvenir edition and 1971 with a Daily Mirror publication. Also included is the Official 1994 World Cup Programme and the Euro 1996 Semi Final programme plus England v Germany ticket. Comes with 5 copies of Press Photos from the 1950's. Generally good
OLYMPIC GAMES - USA 1932 Four items, Small ticket for the Inter Collegiate Track Meeting, 16/5/1931 at the Los Angeles Olympic Stadium, Newspaper clipping showing the Shield in full colour for the Junior Olympic Games, a cardboard colour stand up shield with the USA Olympic Crest and a sticker showing the USA Olympic Shield in colour above which is stated "We Care / We Gave U.S. Olympic Team". Generally good

Comes with 2 fixture cards from the 1966/67 season and "The Carlisle United Story" published in 1974 to celebrate promotion to Division One plus a 1st Day cover for the Tottenham match 24/8/1974 (1st match in Division One) and a team photo signed by 3 players.
