S. S. Carpathia - Titanic Disaster Survivor's message, an untransmitted, undated two part telegram message on official Marconi printed form No 1-100-18.5.11. Message hand written in ink read "To: E T Holmes 26, Courtlandt St, New York. All saved on Carpathia Notify Wilson You ng 377 Broadway Ella," overstamped in purple NOT TRANSMITTED. Sold together with research appertaining to the writer Mrs Ella White (nee Holmes) and her travelling companion who boarded the Titanic at Cherbourg with her maid and man servant. She travelled First Class sharing her cabin C-32 with Marie Young, their ticket PC17760 costing ú135.12s 8d. Ella White and her maid were rescued in lifeboat 8 found by the S. S. Carpathia which docked at New York on 18th April 1912.

A silver medallion presented to Sir Stanley Matthews by the French Football Federation on the occasion of their 75th anniversary, sold with a certificate of authenticity signed by Sir Stanley Matthews's daughter and also by the Stoke-on-Trent auctioneers Louis Taylor where this medallion was originally sold on 17th October 2000; the lot also including a 1953 F.A. Cup final programme signed on the team-page by Matthews, together with a ticket stub and community singing sheet from the 1953 final (5) This medallion was received by Sir Stanley at the FFF's celebration dinner in Paris.

A FIFA match ball used in play during the 2006 World Cup final Italy v France, an Adidas Gold Teamgeist, inscribed ADIDAS, FIFA WORLD CUP, GERMANY, 2006, FINAL, MATCH BALL, ITALY, FRANCE, 09 JULY 2006, OLYMPIASTADION, BERLIN, KICK-OFF 20:00; sold with an official (English version) match programme for the final, a VIP complimentary match ticket and an Official Partner and Supplier Hospitality Stadium Access Pass (4) This particular match ball was used during the 1st half of play in the 2006 World Cup final, and was taken out of the ball rotation procedure just prior to half-time. The ball was acquired by a V.I.P. stadium access pass holder, a family member of an important sponsor of the tournament, Anheuser Busch (Bud). See also the Shevchenko jersey (lot 422) and the Zidane jersey (lot 420) for further items personally acquired by this individual at the 2006 World Cup.
