A good pair of bell-shaped whiskey tots with silver mounts and star-cut bases; the hinged lids marked for Asprey & Co London, assayed Birmingham 1930. Each with hallmarked silver 'Whiskey' ticket (maker's mark H&H, assayed Birmingham 1931). (10cm to tip of thumb piece)Condition Report: First tot...glass-wise there are no chips, cracks or restorations. The hinged lid is marked 'Asprey' to the underside and appears flat, hallmarks are clearly visible on the silver mounted lid, the thumb piece appears OK. The 'whiskey' also appears in good condition, the second tot has a similar condition report to the first tot apart from minor tarnishing on the outside of the exposed silver. The tots in good overall original condition.

A Victorian scrap album, c. mid 19th century, containing 50 floral and decorative watercolour border designs on rectos of 15 stiff card leaves, the last an illuminated design in gold and colours of the word 'Illuminated', signed beneath 'Ellie Hall', all designs left blank without family portraits and views as probably intended, some spotting, small binder's ticket of Francis Guy, the Munster Works, Cork, to front pastedown and with armorial bookplate of Duff Cooper, contemporary red morocco gilt over bevelled boards, covers and spine detached, lacks clasp, some wear, 4to (34.5 x 27 cm)Qty: (1)
George IV Coronation Ticket. A printed ticket for admission to Westminster Abbey on the occasion of King George IV's Coronation, 19 July 1821, printed in black and blue with a blind-embossed border by Dobbs, manuscript instructions directing the recipient to 'The Choir, Lower Gallery' and numbered 2572, signed to the lower right 'Howard of Effingham' ( Deputy Earl Marshal of England at the Coronation), a little general soiling, old folds, slight creasing and occasional marginal closed tears, 235 x 255 mmQty: (1)Footnote: There are two versions of this compound-plate printed ticket, one admitting to Westminster Hall, the other to the Abbey. These were marked respectively 'Hall' and 'Abbey' in oval cut-outs to the left of the central motif, with this invitation card being for the ceremony in the Abbey itself. Seating in the Abbey was so crowded that only twenty-two and a half inches were allocated per person. The "Dobbs" whose name is stamped on the border was H. Dobbs. His firm pioneered the use of decorative blind stamping for decorating invitation cards. The Coronation cost the Treasury over £230,000; the coronation robes costing £24,000 and £25,000 being spent on the banquet at which 9,840 bottles of wine and 100 gallons of iced punch were provided. The ceremony lasted some five hours, with one highly conspicuous absentee, being the Kings wife, Queen Caroline, who was locked out of Westminster Abbey by a disgruntled and petulant monarch.

***SECTION 2 FIREARMS LICENCE REQUIRED*** GE LEWIS; an 11 bore side-by-side double trigger hammer gun, the 30" Damascus barrels with 3" chambers and set with a smooth concave rib stamped with the maker's details, both barrels stamped 'Full Choke Stop the Action' with a game scene within foliate scrolling borders and mounted on a checkered walnut stock set with a white metal poncoin inscribed 'C.E. Martin, overall length 120cm, SN:7505.Additional InformationOverall good condition showing only light signs of use throughout. There is wear to the finish at the muzzle end, there is a very slight head rattle but this is only noticeable when open, there is some minor scuffs to the Damascus finish around the for-end section of the gun. Further very light surface wear to the stock. The vendor has this gun logged on his ticket as a 10 bore shotgun, it was purchased as such but the measurements and the markings on the barrel suggest it is an 11 bore rather than a 10 bore. Barrels choked full and full and the length of pull is 15". Right side firing pin stiff and not always retracting. No proof of nitro.
