1950 WORLD CUP TICKET A full ticket, which is unstamped, for the Maracana Stadium in Rio De Janeiro. The ticket states Numbered Seat in Portuguese and 2nd Match. When you look at the fixtures the 2nd match at the Maracana was England v. Chile but after research, collectors claim the England v. Chile was stamped on the ticket and is extremely rare and that the 2nd match ticket relates to Spain v. Chile. Good

A group of seven needlebooks, comprising; an example with cut and stacked paper covers, green silk lining and tie, minor losses, 11cm x 6.5cm, another with punched card covers, a Bristol card example worked in steel beads "Go On To Perfection", a shell work example incorporating a colour print "Second Terrace, Crystal Palace" and to the other side a gilt and blue velvet panel "A Present From The Crystal Palace", a velvet needlebook with silver wire and other decoration, a beaded and stitched Bristol card example, and another made from the pass ticket for "The International Health Exhibition, London, 1884" made out to "Messrs. Mordan & Co.". (7)
Callas in her last Paris performance of Norma CALLAS MARIA: (1923-1977) American-born Greek Soprano. A printed 4to programme for a performance of Vincenzo Bellini's opera Norma at the Theatre National de l'Opera, Paris, on 24th June 1964, signed ('Maria Callas') by Callas to her inside photo page, the image depicting the soprano in a half length costume pose. Signed in bold blue ink with her name alone to the lower white border. The programme is also signed on various pages by Fiorenza Cossotto (Adalgisa), Ivo Vinco (Oroveso) and Georges Pretre (conductor). Accompanied by a printed 12mo ticket stub for the performance. Some light overall age wear and some creasing to the covers, G Franco Zeffirelli (1923- ) Italian Director and Producer was responsible for creating this production of Norma which was to be Callas' last appearance in the role in Paris.
