BEATLES / SILVER BEETLES 1960 TICKET. An extremely rare ticket for the "Old Time Modern Sequence Xmas Ball" at The Grosvenor Ballroom Wallasey on 21st December, 1960. The ticket has a reminder that states "Don't forget the Xmas Eve Gala with Derry & The Seniors, The Silver Beetles". This incredible item shows how they were still being referred to as "The Silver Beetles" and on this particular night Chas Newby played bass for them. Measures 17cm x 12cm and in very good condition with light foxing.
BEATLES LIVERPOOL JAZZ SOCIETY TICKET. A complimentary ticket to admit two ladies to the club at 13, Temple Street on the 13th March 1961. Formerly known as "The Iron Door" The Beatles headlined the evening of the 13th March and performed along with Gerry And The Pacemakers. The ticket has the names of Rory Storm and The Hurricanes, The Fabulous Beatles and Gerry and The Pacemakers stamped in red on the reverse. The ticket is in excellent condition and measures 11cm x 8.5cm.

Starkie, Esq M.P of Ashton Hall, in acknowledgement of kind services rendered at the general election of 1868' with various pieces of ephemera related to the election such as admittance ticket and accompanying letter and hand written letter of thanks from Westminster dated 1868, condition generally is A/G (8)
WWII - Scarce German Propaganda / Anti-Semitic Handbills in Russian - all in Russian language, with headlines such as 'The Jews are your Eternal Enemies', with the Germans portraying that the Russians are ruled by Jews, another 'Jews like rats, eat the well -being of your people! Kick Jews out the Country!', plus others depicting the 'Jews making money from Death' most with German marks of printing to the reverse, the smaller examples with 'This ticket is valid as a pass for officers, politicians and crews of The Soviet Army to the front of the German Troops' in German to the reverse, in two different sizes, the larger measures 15x20cm, the smaller measures 10x14cm - with light wear as expected, o/w in very good condition (10)
A collection of Rolling Stones signatures, sadly missing Mick Jagger. Provenance from the vendor is as follows, "In 1963 or 64 when I was at school in Hockley Essex, my best friend went to see them locally either the Odeon in Southend or Chelmsford. I could not afford a ticket for the show so my friend said she would get the autographs. She was able to get them all except Mick Jagger. These have been stuck in my autograph book all these years until my tatty book fell apart and I decided to put them in the frame".
SOUTH ATLANTIC MEDAL to S J Bentley Mercantile Marine - undertook Royal Marine Commando training. Stephen John Bentley was born on the 19th of September 1953. He left school aged 14 and joined the Training Ship HMS Indefatigable, he was trained as a Deckhand and joined the Mercantile Marine. On the 28th of November 1972, he joined the Royal Marines and undertook recruit training. On the 21st February 1973, he left recruit training and resumed his service in the Mercantile Marine. On 28th December 1975, he visited Buenos Aires and a ticket/visa is included with the group. Bentley served with the Cunard Line and may have been on SS Atlantic Causeway or SS Atlantic Conveyor. The conveyor was hit by Exocet Missiles on the 25th May 1982, killing 12 sailors. The ship later sunk undertow. A Christmas card from Cs Iris is included with the group, but it is unclear when he served on the ship. CS Iris did serve in the conflict The medal comes with a number of pieces of original ephemera, including his Royal Marine Company Record Book, letter from ROAB informing him that he has been accepted, RAOB Rules & Regulation book, Cunard line hat, Indefatigable cap tally, RFA Tie, Falkland Island tankard and photograph of the recipient as a young boy. The medal is with original box, wax packet and transmittal slip. Engraved in the correct large letter style. Condition = EF

Archive of autograph letters signed and one ticket addressed to him (16) or Lady Cockburn (1), beginning with the ticket to the great Earl of Chatham's funeral, and continuing with letters from Thomas Pitt, the latter's nephew, (1737-1794, M.P. for Old Sarum, from 1784 1st Lord Camelford, Sir James's second wife Anne was his cousin), from Lady Camelford to Lady Cockburn, and from George Fulke Lyttelton (1763-1828, from 1808 2nd Baron of the 1794 creation), 17 items out of originally 21 (the letters from William Pitt the younger, about the lack of a post in the excise for Cockburn, and discontinuing Lady Cockburn's pension, apparently being removed some time about 1900), together 1 ticket and 36 sides 4to plus conjugate blanks or address leaves, with a Checklist, London, Petersham, Ham Common, LiŠge, Aix-la-Chapelle, Le Vigan, Boconnoc and Oxford, 1778 and 1782 - 1790, neatly stitched in a mid-19th century paper cover with decorative manuscript title and list of items, generally in good condition, a few pieces neatly secured or mended with gauze, closed tear in blank part of upper cover, touching the old list of contents on verso without loss A detailed list is available on request. Present, the Lords of His Majesty's Most Honourable Privy Council. We, whose Names are hereunto subscribed ... do hereby agree and bind ourselves to receive the Notes of the Bank of England in all Payments ... printed by George Eyre and Andrew Strahan, 1797, printed broadside; Friendly Societies, Engraved receipt issued to a subscriber of the Amicable Contributionship, 1772, together with a receipt issued to a subscriber of Doncaster Universal Tontine, 1798; Bank notes, Five-pound note, 1697, rubbed and worn, and 3 early-19th-century bank notes issued by the Carlisle Banking Company or the Northumberland Bank; and similar, many creased where folded, some minor fraying, housed in a cloth solander box Two copies of the order in council traced on ESTC (Guildhall and Oxford). Eric Clapton Unplugged - Limited edition (250/1000) CD box set in wooden presentation case signed to the inside by Eric Clapton & dated '93, with an original ticket for Bray Studios 16th January 1992.Provenance: The vendor has been a lifelong fan & friend of the Clapton family. The majority of signatures were obtained from 18 Harley House where the vendor went to get items signed over the years (Clapton Management Office). The vendor has been to hundreds of concerts over the years and has many handwritten letters from Pat (Patricia Molly Clapton) whom they were friends with.
