Boer War and WWII RAF Killed in Action Family Group with QSA (5 Clasps) to 5441 Sapper E. Sabin RL- Engineers, with King's South Africa (Clasps only South Africa 1901 and 1902); WWII Trio with 1939-45 Star, Aircrew Europe Star and War Medal in Air Ministry box of issue with award slips, (Not Worn) to L.J. Sabin (KIA). Eardley Sabin, Born October 1881 in London, Died 11th February 1951. Attended the Royal Savoy Chapel School, ran away to Canada when he was about 16. After about two years Eardley's father sent him a one way ticket home to England and later In 1899 Eardley was enlisted in the Boer War and sent out to South Africa. As a sapper his service was to protect trains by using searchlights at night to stop sabotage by the Boer forces, With his Royal West African Frontier Force and RE cap badges and RE OCA badge. He returned to England at the end of the Boer war. The WWII Aircrew Europe Trio is to Leonard James Sabin with photograph, born 1916, Joined the RAF to be Killed in Action in France on the 27th December 1939 (Early in the war). Having joined the RAF in 1936 he was part of Number 18 Squadron based at Upper Heyford. His Rank by then was Sgt Pilot, piloting a Blenheim L8598. The Squadron was sent over to France. His Blenheim lost as a result of a dogfight during an air battle with the German Air force whilst conducting reconnaissance. His fellow crew members, also killed were Sgt. Harvey, AC1. Martin and LAC. Job, who are all buried in a very small war cemetery in Le Quesnel with other heroes from WWI. A fantastic family group with excellent family provenance.
China, a corner fragment of a hardened bronze mould for casting Wang Mang cash coins of 30-31mm diameter, 60 x 64mm approx., weight 116g, old verdigris and some surface corrosion, fine to very fine; together with a coin of related type (2). Offered with a 1960s ticket suggesting that the mould was acquired in 1946.

BLACK SABBATH SIGNED PROGRAMME AND TICKET. A 1971 UK tour programme, with centre page signed clearly in blue ink by Geezer Butler, Tony Iommi, Ozzy Osbourne and Bill Ward. Centre page bearing signatures has been removed from programme and shows blu tack marks to verso. Also to include untorn ticket from a 2017 Manchester Arena concert and a printed, signed letter of provenance from the vendor detailing how he obtained the signatures.

DAVID BOWIE AND THE LOWER THIRD TICKET. An original and rare card backed invite from 1966, for a performance with David Bowie and the Lower Third at the Victoria Tavern, Hyde Park London on Thursday January 6th. 19 x 13 cm. Sold at Christie's Pop Culture sale on 26th June 2013 as part of lot 206.
SEX PISTOLS FREE TRADE HALL MANCHESTER TICKET. Incredibly rare ticket stub for their fabled performance at Manchester's Free Trade Hall on the 4th June 1976. Reportedly only 42 people attended which included the elite of Manchester's future music scene (Joy Division, Morrissey, Buzzcocks, Tony Wilson, Mick Hucknall). The tickets for the gig were printed on the back of a ''NOISE'' flyer (designed by Jon Maunder) with an example of the front and back of a complete ticket on display at https://www.joydiv.org/scrapbook.htm. This is the right hand side of the ticket that would have been torn off on entry. The stub is ink stamped with ''F.T.H.'' and the date payment was made (29 May 1976) - it also has the gig and price paid handwritten - in this case ''Sex Pistols 50p."
MORRISSEY SIGNED. A copy of Morrissey - Years of Refusal (SKL 1604, Ex+/Ex+) signed to front of sleeve in silver ink by Morrissey. Only 20 copies were signed by Morrissey on selected nights of the tour to promote the album and each had a sticker located in the corner on the back stating which number the copy was and the date and venue on which it was signed on, in this case 23/5/09 at Manchester Apollo. Numbered 19/20. Also to include lanyard and original ticket.

In addition to this is a copy of Thin Lizzy's Renegade Tour '81 programme signed by Darren Wharton with accompanying Thin Lizzy poster and two tickets for their Oxford shows, an Ian Gillan 'Glory Road' programme signed on the first page by Gillan, a Led Zeppelin at Knebworth 1979 programme and a Whitesnake programme from their Come an' Get It tour in addition to two tickets for a 1981 show and a folder of Whitesnake's tour itineraries. Mighty Midgets 'Blitz' books (1940s W Barton) 9, 24, 28, 30, 32, 33, 41. With Little Marvels 7, 9, 18, 25, 30, 31, Pocket Series 6, 16, 33, 45-47, Tuck's Better Little Books: 7 different issues, no numbers and Follow Inspector Foster (Gulliver 1940s). Mostly sold by Woolworth's at 3d each, these booklets helped distract children in air-raid shelters and Underground stations during bombing raids over London. Consequently they became known as 'Blitz' books and are scarce. The 3d price was subsidised by Saxa Salt, Kiwi Polish and Foster Clark's Custard Powder who advertised on the back covers.
