A late Victorian Aesthetic Admiral Fitzroy 'Royal Polytechnic' barometer, the circular dial inscribed 'Joseph Davis & Co', fitted with two adjustable brass pointers above an exposed tube flanked by Centigrade and Fahrenheit thermometers, the ebonized and gilt case with arched surmount inset with a jasper plaque above a circular upper glazed section and rectangular lower glazed section, height approx 110cm.
A William IV mahogany five dial wheel barometer, having a swan neck pediment above a dry/damp indicator, thermometer dial, convex mirror reflector above silvered main dial, signed to the balance scale Grafsi & Fontana, Exeter, the case with ebony and boxwood stringing, height 106cm (see lot 406 for illustration)
