An antique gilt footstool and an Arts & Crafts brass spirit kettle; a mahogany cased metronome and a brass inkwell, a barometer and another item. Early 19th century Regency mahogany and brass stick barometer by John Young, Hampton Court, the brass dial engraved with adjustable scale enclosing mercury thermometer and later Bosmere thermometer within hinged glazed arched rectangular hood, with a turned cistern cover, inset with bone inlay, 91cm high (PLEASE NOTE VAT WILL BE PAYABLE ON THE HAMMER PRICE)
Negretti and Zanbra of London, an oak cased aneroid barometer/thermometer, numbered 15709, carved oak case with grape and blossom decoration, pair of urn shape finials to sides, 19cm dial, 67cm high.Condition report:Case is generally in very good condition, no evident losses to the carved elements. A slight split just below the dial through drying of the wood. Nice even colour. The dial is a little discoloured around the circumference. The gilt hand doesn't adjust very smoothly. The pressure reading looks to be about right for the present conditions but we cannot guarantee accuracy or full working order. Thermometer also appears to be reading well.
