An early 19c multiple tube barometer by Dring & Page of 20 Tooley Street, London using oil and mercury alternately in the tubes and having a Fahrenheit mercury thermometer alongside. The arrangement is mounted on a boxwood backboard which is stamped for the indications and forms the back arch mahogany case surmounted by three turned finials and having a glazed opening front, 25" tall overall
A wheel barometer, with thermometer, mirror, dry/damp dial and level, signed Nolcini & Moretti Merthyr, in a simulated rosewood case, 94 cm high Condition report Report by JB General marks and wear to case, scratches from light to deep. Temperature display discoloured, two marks around 60 and 80, glass dirty. Split to veneer above mirror, splits and chips present and main dial (around the edges). Discolouration to main dial, number of scratches and marks / stains around the edge. Hands seem to spin freely. Bottom section held together with tape, veneer damage. Both sides have damaged veneer / some loss and vaned sections. Memy present, however fall display does not appear to work. Mark to main glass/hairline crack.

Cutmore, St. Annes Lane, City, a longcase regulator:, the eight-day duration timepiece movement having a dead-beat escapement and maintaining power, with the pendulum crutch attached to the backboard, the twelve-inch round silvered dial engraved with a typical regulator layout with seconds to the outer aspect and subsidiary hour and minute dials to the centre and engraved with the maker`s name J. Cutmore, St. Annes Lane, City, the oak case with angular canted corners and gothic carved decoration to the base, trunk and hood, the trunk inset with a thermometer above which sits a mercury barometer with bone scales with twin vernier gauges, set aslant and signed J. Hicks, 8, 9 & 10, Hatton Gardens, London, height: 213cm. * Biography John Cutmore is recorded as working in St. Annes, London from before 1851 until circa 1863.
