By Asprey and Co Limited, a presentation silver travelling barometer, London 1913, circular form, the hinged cover inscribed, `St. Mortiz Curling Club 1914`, diameter 6.4cm. The St. Moritz Curling Club was founded as early as December 21st, 1880. During the previous winter Johannes Badrutt has received a set of curling stones from some Scottish friends. In the winter of 1880/1 two curling rinks had been swept free of snow on the frozen lake of St. Moritz and smoothed with self-made ice planers.
