A late-19th Century French black slate mantel three-dial weather station clock, perpetual calendar and barometer, the central clock with black Roman numerals and visible Brocot escapement, the 8-day movement striking on a gong, the back plate stamped "S.Marti et Cie, Medaille de Bronze", flanked to the left by a calendar dial painted with a cloudy, starry sky and set with phases of the moon, and to the right by an aneroid barometer; the case all-over incised and highlighted with gilded tendrils and inset malachite panels. 51cm tall
