Ramsden, London. A George III mahogany bow front stick barometer, the silvered dial inscribed 'Ramsden London,' with a vernier scale, the figured veneered body with a later adjuster, the base with an ebony urn cover having an ivory level indicator, with faux fluted angles, 3ft 2.25in (97.2cm) high.
'Dollond' of London , a marine aneroid barometer, no 561. The circular porcelain dial, inscribed 'The Shipwrecked Fisherman's & Mariners, Royal Benevolent Society', within silver plated drum casing. The barometer mounted on a carved walnut stand, the supports carved in the form of two dolphins, with rope twist border below, on plinth base. Fitted with an engraved presentation plaque.
