P. Barbon, a mahogany wheel barometer: the round silvered eight-inch dial engraved with usual barometer markings and signed P. Barbon, No.7 Fullwoods rents Holbn. London and having a blued steel hand and heavy cast-brass Georgian bezel, the round-topped case having an inset silvered dial thermometer, height 92cm.*Notes P. Barbon is recorded as working at 281, Holborn, London from circa 1780, also at Fullwood Rents, until circa 1830.

Manchester and having two vernier gauges set via bone knobs, the mahogany case having canted corners, a turned cistern to the base and surmounted by a carved pediment with a bone-dialled thermometer set within the trunk, height 104cm.*Notes Joseph Lewis Casertelli was a member of a large barometer making family and is recorded working at 20 Duke Street, Liverpool prior to moving to Manchester in 1852 to take over the business of the Ronchetti family having married Harriet Ronchetti.
