J. Solcha, Hull - a Victorian mahogany wheel barometer, the silvered 8" dial with dry/damp dial, thermometer, convex mirror and level dials, the case with painted stringing, length 97 cm. The Solca/Solcha's were a family of instrument makers who started with Luigi (Lewis) in circa 1838 and included Joseph, John and David, Joseph and John worked from 13 Humber Dock Street from 1861-1872.
