Hendrik Prins, Amsterdam, an early 18th century walnut stick barometer, the moulded cornice above a pair of shaped brass plates engraved with scales marked 'Engelsc' and 'Rhynl. Duymen' to top, the right plate with vernier, and 'Hk. Prins fecit Amsteliam' below, the replaced visible tube flanked by trailing marquetry flowers, with bowfront cistern cover below, 97cm. Hk is most likely to be Hendrik. The Engelsche and Rynl. Daymen/Duymen refers to the measurement which is registered in English as well as Rhineland standards, and is the old spelling of Duimen which is Thumbs (as in measuring in Hands, Feet and Thumbs).

Jones, London, the silvered scale under glass with ivory ringed adjusting square below with original ivory handled key, in a mahogany case with turned cistern cover and ebony landing with similar scroll cresting with ivory bosses flanking an urn, {97cm}
A Victorian Cast Iron Combination Aneroid Barometer & Wall Clock, the Barometer with white dial inscribed "J J Wainwright & Co., Birmingham" above a thermometer with brass scale, and half hour striking Clock, the white dial with roman numerals, the case cast with oak leaves, acorns and acanthus scrolls. Barometer and Clock lacking glass. Height 25".
A late 19th Century ebonised and gilt mantel barometer, the instrument in a circular case with carved foliate band at top, flanked by turned finials and carved below the dial with two panel, one showing rain falling from a stormy cloud, the other shows a more optimistic sun motif, raised on an integral stepped rectangular base.
