An early 19th Century Mother of pearl and rosewood wheel barometer With a 20cm diameter silvered register signed Luvate Preston above a thermometer the case with an onion shaped top finely inlaid with marquetry Mother of pearl, brass and silver coloured metal depicting birds perched among flowering branches with a shaped base 98cm.
A French gilt brass combination desk timepiece with aneroid barometer and thermometer, circa 1880. The timepiece with a 5.5cm white dial with Roman numerals with gilt metals hands with a leaf and scroll engraved gilt metal border, eight-day movement with lever escapement, opposing a conforming aneroid barometer with a register calibrated in barometric inches inscribed with observations including change, with a conforming leaf engraved border, the reverse with a silvered dial centred with a fahrenheit thermometer surmounted by an oscillating loop handle raised upon a breakfront marble plinth with bowfront ends raised upon a gilt metal plinth base. 14x14x6.5cm (illustrated).
A Victorian carved oak combined timepiece and barometer. With a 12.5cm white dial with Roman numerals the single-train key-wound movement enclosed by a brass bezel with a glazed panel above a thermometer and barometer signed J A Wheatley, Carlisle. The case with a leaf-carved cresting, pendant leaves and fruit with an undercut leaf-carved base. 107cms (illustrated).
