A travelling watch and barometer, contained in a silver mounted case possibly by Lawrence Emmanuel, London circa 1906, the case of plain rectangular shape with two circular apertures, one containing a nickel cased goliath watch, the other with a matching aneroid barometer, and a rectangular aperture containing a thermometer, the case bears a presentation inscription, 20 x 12cm
Brass ship's barometer and clock, from the SS Lycaon, the barometer by John Bruce & Sons of Liverpool, inscribed on the outer ring 'SS Lycaon chart room', 23cm diameter, the clock inscribed 'Captain's room SS Lycaon', 13cm diameter Note: The ship was built for Alfred Holt & Co. who operated the Blue Funnel Line. Blue Funnel Line ships took their names from mythology, Lycaon was the son of Pelasgus and Meliboea. The vendor's father Captain Tom Walker was master of the ship prior to its' break up. He was granted permission by the Commodore of the Line to take possession of the clock and barometer.
