Walnut hanging barometer with finial and lozenge block spandrel surmounting a plaque having a glass thermometer mounted on brass above a barometer flanked by double columns. Two Late 19th Century Brass Pocket Compasses The wooden cased barometer with the outer case hinge damaged, inset circular metal plaque to the front, case with scuff marks, thermometer tube looks complete with no air gaps to mercury, barometere glass is broken and needs replacing, gilded case faded and rubbed. The other cased barometer with damage to the outer case hinge, scuff marks and scratches in parts, gilded inner case faded throughout and with scratches, dial totally discoloured and stained and needs re-silvering.
An early 20th Century oak cased barograph with silvered square barometer dial, lacquered brass mechanism and clockwork recording drum, applied plaque inscribed `M.W. Dunscombe Ltd, Opticians, Bristol`, beneath a bevelled five glass cover, on a rectangular base fitted with a single drawer, on bracket feet, length approx 37cm.
