A Victorian oak stick barometer, with exposed tube and carved head and foot. CONDITION REPORT: The dial is faded and worn. The thermometer glass is loose in its fitting. The top of the mercury tube is missing a mount. The top centre of the carved wood has been broken off and is missing. Looking directly at the barometer, the top right had side foliate carving is missing its tips. There are air bubbles throughout the mercury in the tube. In general this requires a professional restoration throughout.
An Edwardian style mahogany cased aneroid barometer, with alcohol thermometer. Height 69 cm. CONDITION REPORT: The barometer appears to be in generally very good condition. The case is in good order with no significant issues. The silvered brass dial is in good condition. There are some blemishes to the silvering on the thermometer plate. The brass circumference to the circular plate is tarnished and has lost much of its original lacquered finish.
