A Victorian pocket barometer, compensated, in gilt metal case and with outer case. CONDITION REPORT: The gilt metal case is in generally very good condition with no significant losses to the gilding. The silvered dial is tarnished which should be clearly visible from our image. There is no manufacturer's name visible. The needle moves if you blow in to the hole at the back of the case which suggests that the barometer is functional. The outer leather case is all complete but quite badly scuffed and has small losses to the leather in places. The clasp and hinges work as they should and the interior velvet lining to the case is only partially worn. There are two empty apertures in the outer case.
