Cort & Co, Leicester, a mahogany stick barometer, with an engraved brass register, a visible mercury shaft, flanked with feather banding, with a turned well, the top mounted with a broken arch pediment, and centered with a brass urn, 100cm highCondition ReportGood overall. Some knocks to the edge of the case.
A mahogany barometer with silvered dial, 90cm high. Condition - fair, untested Mercury tube has been disturbed, possibly damaged inside; base knop has been unscrewed and mercury globules seen running around inside- attention needed. Force will be necessary to gain access to the tube but such force has not been risked. A guess would be very little mercury remaining. Dial surround silvering worn. Age circa mid-19th century.
