A WWII Kriegsmarine bulkhead barometer by Lufft:, the silvered dial calibrated in milibars and signed as per title, with eagle and swastika over an 'M' and the number '3399' in an aluminium case, 15.4cm diameter.*Notes- together with a note indicating that the barometer was acquired from a Norwegian near Tromso in 1945 in exchange for a packet of cigarettes whilst investigating the wreck of the Tirpitz.
A late Victorian silver plated bulkhead clock by S Benzie, Cowes and matching bulkhead barometer:, the clock with single barrel movement, 3 1/2 white enamel dial and Roman numerals signed 'Benzie Cowes & Paris' with hand painted blue pennant set gold Phoenix, together with matching aneroid barometer on a mahogany plinth, 41 x 17.5cm.
A mid-19th century rosewood stick barometer the arched top with ivorine scale signed 'J. H. Steward, 459 West Strand London', a mercury thermometer to the left and sliding vernier scale to the right, over a flat trunk with mercury tube and turned cistern cover to the base, 36in. (91.5cm.) high *Condition:Ivorine yellowed. One of brass claws holding top of thermometer missing but still secure. Brass fitting securing top of main tube a little dented. Needs cleaning.
