A Late 19th Century Opal and Diamond Ring, three graduated oval cabochon opals spaced by vertically set trios of old cut diamonds, in yellow claw settings to fancy shoulders on a plain polished shank, total estimated diamond weight 0.50 carat approximately, finger size P, boxed see illustration . The ring is in good condition. It is stamped '18' and in our opinion it would test as gold. The approximate qualities of the diamonds are; colour H/I/J, clarity SI2/I1/I2. Gross weight 4.3 grams. A Fire Opal and Diamond Cluster Ring, an oval cabochon fire opal within a border of old cut diamonds in yellow claw settings, to a tapered shoulder plain polished shank, total estimated diamond weight 0.50 carat approximately, finger size M see illustration . The ring is in fair condition. It is not hallmarked nor stamped but in our opinion would test as gold. The approximate qualities of the diamonds are; colour I/J/K, clarity I1/I2/I3. Gross weight 4.9 grams. CR made 06.06.19.
An 18 Carat Gold Opal and Diamond Ring, an oval cabochon opal within a diamond shaped surround, set with round brilliant cut diamond accents, to an outer yellow frame, on twist shoulders and a plain polished shank, finger size N1/2 see illustration . The ring is in good condition. The opal has a small area of potch. It is hallmarked with sponsor's mark 'FJ', London, 1978. The approximate qualities of the diamonds are; caratweight 0.45, colour I/J/K, clarity SI2/I1/I2. Gross weight 7.3 grams. CR made 31st May 2019.
An Opal, Ruby and Seed Pearl Bangle, graduated round cabochon opals spaced by pairs of round cut rubies, set on a twist, with seed pearl set twist panels either side, hinged to a plain polished bangle see illustration . The bangle is in good condition. It fastens with a tongue and box catch and features a safety chain. It is stamped '15CT' and in our opinion it would test as gold. Gross weight 10.7 grams. CR made 31st May 2019.
An Opal and Diamond Cluster Ring, an oval cabochon opal in a white claw setting, within a border of round brilliant cut diamonds in white claw settings, to a yellow pointed shoulder plain polished shank, total estimated diamond weight 0.80 carat approximately, finger size M see illustration . The ring was valued for insurance purposes in 2007 at £1,800. The ring is in fair condition with several underwires broken. Hallmark is rubbed but in our opinion would test as gold. The opal measures 9.98mm x 8.13mm x 3.13mm. The approximate qualities of the diamonds are; colour H/I/J, clarity SI2/I1/I2. Gross weight 4.1 grams. CR made 03.06.19.
A Multi-Gemstone Bead Necklace, cultured pearls spaced by chrome diopside, obsidian, red and purple garnet, emerald, pink opal, black spinel and peridot beads, length 224cm see illustration. The necklace is in good condition. It fastens with a lobster claw clasp and the length given is the shortest wearing length. Clasp is stamped '925' and in our opinion would test as silver. Gross weight 86.5 grams. CR made 04.06.19.
A Black Opal and Diamond Cluster Ring, the oval cabochon opal within a border of fourteen round brilliant cut diamonds, in white claw settings, to a plain polished shank, total estimated diamond weight 1.25 carat approximately, finger size M1/2 see illustration. The ring is in very good condition. It bears no hallmark, but in our opinion it would test as gold. The approximate qualities of the diamonds are; colour G/H/I, clarity SI1/SI2/I1. Gross weight 4.5 grams. CR made 11.04.19.
William Mark, an Arts and Crafts silver and enamelled brooch, Chipping Campden, circa 1912, the fire opal enamel cabochon within a pierced lappet border, stamped marks, 3.5cm diameter Note: Australian silversmith William Mark worked at the Guild of Handicraft from 1909, beofre setting up on his own and remaining in the Cotswolds until his return to Australia in 1920. The influence of his Australian heritage is seen in the simulation of a black opal, emerging out of Australia in the late 19th century.
Murrle Bennett & Co, an opal and peridot 15 carat gold Art Nouveau pendant, stamped MB&Co monogram and '15ct' the almost triangular shaped cabochon with a drop beneath, pendant 4.3cm long including drop, the chain 43cm longCondition Report: Opal has a chip to the bottom edge to one side. Other stone is in good order. No breaks or repairs detected. Chain is also marked 15ct and is possibly original. Total weight 6.3g. Opal measures 11mm x 9.5mm by 3.2mm deep
