A selection of three gem-set rings. To include a 9ct gold circular-shape garnet single-stone ring, a 9ct gold opal and garnet cluster ring, together with a circular turquoise cabochon textured floral ring. Two with hallmarks for 9ct gold. Total weight 11.4gms. Overall condition fair to good. Some surface wear in keeping with general wear. Evidence of resizing. Second with one replacement opal, slightly smaller than the others, minimal glue. Third is possibly a composite piece, soft solder joining the floral panel and mount. Significant scratches to the inner band. Gemstones generally in fair to good condition with some abrasion and nicks, principal opal with a surface reaching fracture to one side, durability may be impaired. A selection of four gem-set pendants. To include a 9ct gold garnet and diamond accent crosspendant and chain, a 9ct gold opal and diamond pendant, together with two further pendants. Twowith hallmarks for 9ct gold. Lengths of pendants 2.7 to 1.2cms. Length of chain 52cms. Totalweight 11.5gms. Overall condition good to fair. Surface scratches and discolouration in keeping with general wear. The garnets are well matched with a dark brownish-red with good clarity. The opal has a white body colour with a patchy play-of-colour, showing predominately blues and greens. The ruby has a pinkish red hue with profuse inclusions that significantly affect the passage of light through the stone. The diamonds are bright, lively and well matched in two pendants. Small light and dark inclusions can be seen under magnification. Individual size and setting prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment. Lengths include surmounts. To include an early 20th century 9ct gold opal five-stone ring, together with a later 9ct gold coated topaz single-stone ring, a sapphire and diamond floral cluster and a green quartz ring. Two with hallmarks for 9ct gold. Total weight of 13.3gms. Overall condition good to fair. Surface scratches and discolouration in keeping with general wear. The opal ring has a replacement band with obvious join marks. The opals show abrasion some show chips to the edge. The coated topaz has abrasion to some facet edges, which affects the appearance of the colour. The sapphires are well matched with a patchy mid to light blue, showing straight colour zoning and typical inclusions. The diamonds are bright, lively and well matched.
