1970s gold and opal ring, possibly by Peter Minturn, New Zealand, with a large opal cabochon measuring approximately 16.8mm x 12.4mm x 4.5mm, estimated to weigh approximately 5.8cts, in a gold freeform 'volcano' style setting with pierced bark and bead effect, ring size Q.Unmarked but tests as approximately 9ct. The ring comes from New Zealand and is possibly by New Zealand jeweller Peter Minturn. Gross weight approximately 9.4 grams.
