AN OPAL AND DIAMOND CLUSTER RING, designed as a flowerhead cluster of oval cabochon opals enclosing a central old-cut diamond, bordered by smaller single-cut diamonds, two colour precious metal mounted, stamped '18ct', total diamond weight approximately 0.20ct, setting diameter 1.6cm, ring size P½ Condition report: Opals are slightly variable with subtle play of colour, displaying pinks, greens and blues to a whiteish ground. All have scuffs, nicks and chips to the surface, some with surface-reaching fractures. Diamonds have slightly variable colour and clarity but an overall lively appearance, with estimated SI1 to P2 clarity and H to K colour, assessed mounted. The mount has general wear, with fine splits to the edges of the setting and dark solder repairs to the sides of the gallery. The shank is possibly replaced. Diameter of setting approx. 1.6cm. The setting requires cleaning. Gross weight approx. 3.9gm.

The ring mount has been bent severely to one side and requires a substantial repair to straighten up the setting and shank. The largest pear-shaped diamonds measure approx. 8mm length x 6mm width x 3.7mm depth each. The largest cushion-shaped diamonds measure approx. 5.2mm in length/width x 2.6mm - 3.6mm depth. The mount has general surface wear, chips and scuffs throughout. The setting is skewed, possibly due to a knock, and has solder joins/repairs to the sides. The shank has been resized. Metal standard is untested. Gross weight approx. 4.5gm.
A LATE 19TH CENTURY OPAL AND DIAMOND BROOCH/CLASP, centred with an oval cabochon opal and rose-cut diamond cluster, within an openwork border of cushion-shaped old-cut diamonds in pinched collet settings, between similarly set scrolled shoulders, (three later replaced white stones), the reverse with detachable brooch fittings and vacant clasp fittings, gold and silver mounted, total weight of old-cut diamonds approximately 0.60ct, length 3.2cm Condition report: The opal has a subtle play of colour, with soft pink, green and blue shades to a whiteish ground. The surface has scuffs, nicks and small chips and the opal measures approx. 13mm length x 9.5mm width x 3.9mm depth. Diamonds are lively but with variable colour and clarity, some stones with surface-reaching fractures and chips, estimated SI1 to P2 clarity and H to L colour, assessed mounted. Three white stones are later replaced. The panel has considerable wear, with splits, solder repairs and thinning to the edges of the setting. The fittings differ in colour and may be later added. The pin is functioning. Gross weight approx. 7.4gm.
A PAIR OF BLACK OPAL AND DIAMOND CLUSTER EAR STUDS, each oval black opal cabochon claw set within a border of single-cut diamonds, on post fittings, two colour precious metal mounted, total diamond weight approximately 0.50ct, length 1.6cm Condition report: One of the opals has a slightly darker blue body colour. Both have variable greenish play of colour, with surface scuffs, scratches, nicks and pitting. The opals measure approx. 12.8mm x 9.2mm and 13.3mm x 9mm in length x width each. Diamonds are well matched and fairly bright, occasional stones with surface-reaching fractures and small nicks/chips, estimated VS2 to P1 clarity and H to K colour, assessed mounted. The mounts have general surface wear, with patchy thinning to the edges of the settings. Both posts are mis-shapen and the butterflies do not match. Metal standard is untested. Gross weight approx. 4.5gm. The case has staining to the cushion and scuffs to the exterior finish.

(7) Condition report: churn pepper has a slight dent to foot rim. Bird figure has a hole to the head. Mirror has some damage to the silvering.

AN OPAL AND ROCK CRYSTAL BEAD NECKLACE, the trace-link chain alternately spaced with conical opal beads and faceted rock crystal beads, together with a similar rock crystal bead and simulated pearl necklace, first necklace length 43cm (2) Condition report: Both necklaces are worn, with scattered chips, nicks, fractures and scuffs to the beads and simulated pearls. The clasps are functioning. Metal standard is untested.
A RUBY, OPAL AND DIAMOND SET BANGLE, of hinged oval form, set to the top with a line of cabochon opal flowerheads, each centred with a cushion-shaped mixed-cut ruby in collet setting, spaced by similarly set cushion-shaped old-cut diamonds, yellow precious metal mounted, total diamond weight approximately 0.20ct, inner diameter 6cm Condition report: Rubies are well matched, of pinkish-red hues, some stones with faint colour zoning, fractures/feather inclusions and areas of iridescent ‘silk’ inclusions. All have surface abrasion, scuffs and chips. Rubies graduate from approximately 4mm x 3mm to 4.5mm x 3.5mm in length x width. Diamonds are well matched, bright and lively, but one stone is chipped and another stone has a surface-reaching fracture. Estimated SI1 to P3 clarity (due to chip) and H to J colour, assessed mounted. Opals have variable play of colour, most stones with shades of pink, green and blue to a whiteish ground, and all have surface scuffs, chips and fractures. One of the diamond settings has been knocked to one side and this setting has been repaired to the back with a reinforcing panel and associated dark solder joins. The bangle mount has surface wear, scuffs and nicks throughout, with a shallow dent/impression to the back. The clasp is functioning. Metal standard is untested. Gross weight approx. 21.8gm.
A Edwardian black opal and diamond panel ring, circa 1910, the oval cabochon opal measuring 12.8mm x 8mm within an old cut and rose cut diamond surround, to old brilliant cut diamond and rose cut diamond set leaf detail shoulders, finger size P, 4.7g grossCondition Report: No noticeable cracks or crazing to the opal, it has some light surface scratches, and a natural looking pock mark, it doesn't appear to be a chip. The diamonds are al;l present, however one of the rose cut diamonds to the shoulder appears chipped and it doesn't fill the whole setting, the shank has been resized, there is some light wear to the setting commensurate with age and use. The setting is unmarked, but is in our opinion platinum. The dimensions of the panel are 20.8mm x 16.6mm (width measured from diamond to diamond on the shoulders)Condition Report Disclaimer
