Opal and blue stone ring with an oval cabochon opal measuring approximately 10.5mmx 7.5mm and four oval mixed cut blue stones in claw setting on gold shank, ring size P½.Condition report: The opal is a very lively stone and displays an excellent play of colour. There is an are of damage to the edge of the stone near the claws. We believe that the blue stones are probably synthetic. Not hallmarked but probably 14-18ct gold. Gross weight approximately 4.1 grams
Edwardian 18ct gold opal and diamond ring with three oval cabochon opals and tour old cut diamonds in gold claw setting with carved gold shoulders on 18ct gold shank, Birmingham 1910). Ring size P½Condition report: Good condition commensurate with age, one opal looks as if it is possibly a replacement stone, all opals are very milky and do not display much colour. The claws are worn and a couple of claws are missing. Shank is slightly thin at the base but does still have the hallmarks. Gross weight approximately 3.9 grams.

A gold, water opal and diamond set oval cluster ring, claw set with the oval water opal in a surround of cushion shaped diamonds, between decorated shoulders, ring size N, gross weight 3.8 gms. Condition Report The water opal has a natural pale orangey/brown mottling, see in the image. There are a few small surface scratches and marks as a result of wear, the ring is rather dirty and overall shows slight wear, the diamonds are old cut stones, slight irregularity of faceting and have one or two internal inclusions, some of which are surface reaching. The ring would benefit from careful professional cleaning.Size of top of ring 16.2mm x 12.1mm. Some of the claws to the diamonds will require re-tipping, diamonds are approx 0.03 cts each.Depth of opal is approx 3mm.

Condition Report Opal and diamond ring 1. the opals have slight uniform surface wear and have a limited play of colour. The diamonds are eight cut stones, slight variation of size and depth, one or two surface reaching inclusions, size of top of ring 17mm length, width is 6.7mm. The mount when viewed from the sides appears to have been crushed in the past, the existing stones may have subsequently been remounted to this ring.Opal and diamond ring 2. one of the side opals has a large shallow chip, the other side opal is a little sunk in its setting, all opals show signs of wear. The two pairs of diamonds are rather irregular diamonds chips. Hallmark clear, ring would benefit from professional cleaning. Shank currently a little bent and requires straightening.Length of largest opal of second ring 5.7mm
