A border of brilliant cut diamonds, all claw set to a white gallery, yellow underbezel, split shoulders and plain shank. London 1976. Head 17.3 x 14.5mm, 6.21g.Finger size PCondition report: Light surface marks to the opal.Green tarnish between the claws.Wear to the lower half of the shank. Wearable but will need to be replaced in the future.Diamonds very dirty, but will clean up.Some scratches and marks to the surface of the opal under 10x magnification. Not noticeable to the naked eye.Settings appear secure.Light marks to the mount, wear at the base of the shank, but still wearable and not weak.12.52 x 9.50 x 2.95mm.Estimated as approximately 1.75ct - mount limitations apply.The opal is solid opal and cabochon cut - not faceted. Not a composite stone ie. a doublet or triplet.The diamonds are too dirty to grade, but probably SI1/SI2 P1 range, and we have to return items in the condition in which they were left, if unsold. Opals should be specialist cleaned and we do not have a workshop.

A Victorian seed pearl and gemstone graduated fringe necklace, c.1890,with assorted gemstones to include smoky quartz, topaz, opal, emerald, sapphire, ruby and turquoise. Each faceted or cabochon gemstone, claw set in a fluted collet with a circular mixed cut white sapphire, claw set above. A fringe of three seed pearls suspended below each gemstone, and all strung to a seed pearl necklace with an oval barrel clasp and safety chain. A late Victorian gold opal and diamond crescent brooch, c.1890,with a curved row of graduated oval cabochon opals, all claw set to the outside edge. Rows of graduated old eight cut diamonds, grain set between, to a two row underbezel. A later hand engraved presentation message to the interior guard, 'GG Brignell. Cambridge. Xmas. 1930'. Curved pin and later lever clasp. Tested as approximately 15ct gold and 9ct gold. 81 x 8.40mm approximately, 10.77gCondition report: Inscription to the guard of the inside curve.A replacement catch, but still with some age c.1940-1950The threaded tube to take a hair fitting has been sealed off.Only very minor marks to the opals under 10x magnification - not worn or damaged.Diamonds bright and lively.Setting appears secure.

An American gold fossil opal pendant and earring suite by Luna Felix,each fossil rub set to a scalloped frame with a cap to one end.
