The lot to include a pair of opal doublet cabochon drop earrings, three glass photo frame locket pendants, a pair of pearl drop earrings, a pair of graduate granulation stud drop earrings, a pair of etched textured metal earrings & a single etched demi hoop. All unmarked, all tests as at least 9ct gold. Total weight approx 17.7g. Largest measures approx 4.5cm.
GASKIN - An early 20th century cased Arts and Crafts silver and opal necklace pendant. The pendant set with opal cabochons to a silver mount surmounted by stylised bale to top and presented in original fitted case. The case marked in gilt to the silk - Jewellers Mr & Mrs Arthur Gaskin Acocks Green. Pendant measures approx 3.9mm including bale. Weight approx 1.45g. The pendant is missing an opal cabochon. The case is scuffed and there is play in the hinge. There is wear to the gilt wording to the silk.Note:- The Gaskins - Arthur and Georgie - were leading jewellers of the Arts and Crafts movement. In 1899 the Gaskins started producing jewellery together, under the name of Mr and Mrs Arthur Gaskin. They began their married life in Acocks Green.
