The black opal is thin cut but has good blue and green play of colour; the pearl necklace is graduated, pearls with variable often pocked skins, stringing loose. The clasp, along with the rose quartz ring and the koala brooch, are set with marcasites.

The oval cabochon opal claw set within a ring of nine single-cut diamonds, the band stamped 18ct goldopal appox 7mm long x 6mm widegood play of light through the opal with slight scratching to the surface commensurate with wear. Impurities in the opal show under light and when looking from the back. Diamonds are well-matched though some are notably chipped.
