Victorian 15ct engraved gold ring with opals, emeralds and garnets, 1871, size M.CONDITION REPORT: Gross weight is 2.2g. The diameter of the opal is approximately 20mm. Diameter of the emerald is approximately 4mm. The large opal is an opaque colour. The smaller opals are clearer. There are age-related marks/scratches to all stones. There is a crack/repair to one of the smaller opals. Some of the points on the claws have perished. The hallmarks are clear. There are further surface marks to the shank.
Hallmarks: 750. Set with 10 brilliant cut diamonds of approx. 0.75 ct. in total (SI / G-H-I) in a white gold setting and a cabochon cut white precious opal of approx. 4.21 ct. (approx. 17.50 x 11.99 x 3 .52 mm). In good condition, one diamond has a chip. LxW: 5.4 x 3.5 cm. Weight: 13.97 grams.
Including a 14K. yellow gold pin with diamond set in silver (marks: 585, ZI), a 14K. rose gold pin with seed pearl (marks: oak leaf), a 14K. / 10K. Belais lapel pin with amethyst (marks: Belais 18K, 585 (Dutch assay mark), 10K, mark Belais Manufacturing Company 1876 – 1933) and a BLA 10K. pin set with opal (marks: tax mark J, illegible maker's mark). In good condition. Various sizes. Weight: 6.34 grams.
Hallmarks: ABJ (maker's mark), crown (gold hallmark England), 375 (9 ct.), leopard head (assay mark London), L (date letter 1985). Set with 3 cabochon cut precious opals of approx. 0.30 ct. in total. In good condition, one opal has a small chip. Ring size: 17.25 mm / 54 mm. Weight: 3.37 grams.
