A modern 9ct gold opal and diamond dress ring, set with pear cabochon opal and eight cut diamond shoulders, total diamond content approx 0.1ct, opal measures approx: 13.76 x 10.71 x 4.28mm, size R, 3.2gThe collet setting looks to have been added to the ring shank with an amendment on the back of the shank as well, 2 of the shoulder diamonds are missing, opal has a good play-of-colour exhibiting mostly greens and blues, part of the collet setting is pulling away from the opal, settings lightly abraded all over with obvious polishing/filing marks on the back of the shank and shoulders, hallmarks clear, engraved 375.
