An opal dress ring, the navette-shaped panel with ropetwist wirework border and star engraved decoration, 18ct gold mounted, with interior inscription dated 1904, together with a pink stone and half pearl dress ring, (shank possibly replaced, half pearls untested for origin), and a 22ct gold slim wedding band, ring sizes Q, N and P respectively (3)Approximate gross weights only: first ring 2.7gm, second ring 2gm, third ring 1.9gm.
A late 19th/early 20th century opal, diamond and gem set brooch/pendant, the openwork cartouche highlighted with oval cabochon opals and circular mixed-cut red gemstones in millegrain collet settings, spaced by old and rose-cut diamond set scrolls, gold and silver mounted, the reverse with vacant threaded aperture and later brooch fitting, (drop deficient), length 3.6cmOpals are well matched, with a fairly varied play of colour, with shades of blue, green, orange and faint pinks to a whiteish ground. All of the opals have surface abrasion, some of the cabochons with surface-reaching fractures, deeper scuffs and small chips. The largest cabochon measures approx. 7.4mm length x 5.5mm width x 3mm depth. The red gemstones are well matched, of purplish-red hues, some stones containing small natural inclusions, all with surface wear. Diamonds have variable colour and clarity, most stones with surface-reaching fractures and chips. The lower crescent-shaped setting is mis-shapen and has previously been solder repaired. It would previously have suspended a further element/drop.The mount has general surface wear, with further solder joins/repairs at junctions within the frame, and occasional chips/fine splits. The mount would previously have had a detachable fitting, which is now missing, and has a later added brooch clasp. The pin is mis-shapen but currently functions. Metal standard is untested. Gross weight approx. 8.5gm.
