Rennison of Sunderland, the lid with tooled decoration and the initials `L.K.S.U.` dated 1914 The necklace is in good condition. It fastens with a geometric catch with tongue and box fitting. It bears no hallmark, nor stamps, but in our opinion it would test as platinum. The opal is very vibrant and colourful. An Opal Necklace with Diamond Clasp, the graduated round opal beads knotted with faceted crystal spacers between, to a geometric clasp set with old cut diamonds, total estimated diamond weight 0.70 carat approximately, length 57cm The necklace is in good condition. The beads were cleaned and it was re-strung in 2010. It fastens with a tongue and box clasp, and features a figure-of-eight safety catch. It also has a safety chain. It bears no hallmark, nor stamp, but in our opinion would test as gold. Some of the beads show cracking. They are white body colour, and quite fiery showing a lot of blue-green and some red flashes. The approximate qualities of the diamonds are; colour I/J/K, clarity SI1/SI2. Gross weight 49.6 grams. CR made 1st October 2014
