An Early 20th Century Opal and Diamond Necklace, old cut diamonds set with knife edge bars to a drop comprising an oval cabochon opal with an old cut diamond at each quarter point, in white millegrain settings on a fine trace link chain, total estimated diamond weight 1.60 carat approximately, necklace length 40.8cm, drop length 5.9cm, in original box from R.L. Rennison of Sunderland, the lid with tooled decoration and the initials `L.K.S.U.` dated 1914 The necklace is in good condition. It fastens with a geometric catch with tongue and box fitting. It bears no hallmark, nor stamps, but in our opinion it would test as platinum. The opal is very vibrant and colourful. The approximate qualities of the diamonds are; colour I/J/K, clarity SI1/SI2/I1. Gross weight 8.2 grams. CR made 1st October 2014
An Opal Necklace with Diamond Clasp, the graduated round opal beads knotted with faceted crystal spacers between, to a geometric clasp set with old cut diamonds, total estimated diamond weight 0.70 carat approximately, length 57cm The necklace is in good condition. The beads were cleaned and it was re-strung in 2010. It fastens with a tongue and box clasp, and features a figure-of-eight safety catch. It also has a safety chain. It bears no hallmark, nor stamp, but in our opinion would test as gold. Some of the beads show cracking. They are white body colour, and quite fiery showing a lot of blue-green and some red flashes. The approximate qualities of the diamonds are; colour I/J/K, clarity SI1/SI2. Gross weight 49.6 grams. CR made 1st October 2014

Length of pendant 4cms. Length of chain 40cms. Weight 3.5gms. The lot is in good to fair overall condition with light scratches in keeping with general wear. Barrel clasp stamped 9ct. Chain with small soft sold repair to one link. Most links noticeably squashed/dented. Estimated diamond weight 0.07ct.
