WW2 German Army Wehrpass Issued to Lieutenant Colonel of the Artillery and Later Ordnance Department, superb example with uniform photograph to the inside. Issued to Wilhelm Jantzen. A career soldier who served through WW1 and then into WW2. He was awarded a large number of awards from his over 40 years service, these are Hamburg Hanseatic Cross, Iron Cross 2nd class, Mecklemburg-Schwerin cross of merit, 1914-18 Honour Cross, Armed Forces Long Service medal, Hungarian war medal, Austrian commemorative war medal with swords, 1st October 1938 medal with Prague Castle bar, 1939 Bar to the Iron Cross, War Service Cross with swords 2nd and 1st class, Lubeck Hanseatic Cross. He served in the Poland campaign before being transferred to a more administration role in the Ordnance department. Late Colin Kluth collection.
A Great War 1914-15 trio to member of the Army Ordnance Corps who died of disease in Egypt. 1914-15 Star medal, British War and Victory medal, “09370 PTE. E. MORRIS A.O.C.” 22 year old Edwin Morris from Rhayader, Radnorshire was serving with the Alexandria Company Army Ordnance Corps when he died of dysentery on 9th December 1915. He now rests in an identified grave in the Alexandria (Chatby) War Memorial Cemetery, Egypt

A .56 FLINTLOCK LONG SEA-SERVICE PISTOL SIGNED TOWER, rack No. 9, circa 1800, with round iron tapering 12in. barrel, the forward right side with a light sword-strike extending into the fore-end wood, the top with further repaired sword-strike, Tower proofs and moulded band at breech, solid squared top-tang, flat borderline engraved lock signed 'TOWER' to the tail and with a crown over 'G.R' device below the pan, ring necked cock, walnut full-stock with carved apron around the top-tang with Board of Ordnance stamp, heavy short-eared brass butt-cap marked '-9-' to the right side and engraved with an initial 'P' to the left, flat brass side-plate with long iron belt-hook, moulded brass trigger guard, brass thimbles and replacement ramrod.

A GOOD AND RARE .73 PERCUSSION ROYAL SAPPERS AND MINERS CARBINE, no visible serial number, dated for 1841 and ex-Royal Artillery Museum, Woolwich collection, round smoothbore 30in. barrel, block fore-sight, 'U' notch rear-sight, solid top-tang with rounded tail, borderline engraved flat bevel-edged lock of flint form signed with an engraved 'V.R.' crown device over 'TOWER 1841', walnut full-stock with Hanoverian bayonet catch, the right side of butt with painted rack numbers '6' over '55' and also stamped with a '49' below, the same side near heel marked with a small cannon over 'MA' over '915' along with a Board of Ordnance stamp, the Setter Up name 'CUTLER' appears behind the rear-swivel and the name 'W. BAKER' is stamped inside the ramrod channel, brass furniture and iron ramrod and swivels.
A RARE .704 PERCUSSION 1840 PATTERN SERGEANT OF FOOT GUARDS RIFLED MUSKET, manufactured in 1843, with 33in. blued two-groove barrel marked with ordnance stamps, proofs and 'ENFIELD 1842', applied blade fore-sight, standing notch rear-sight with additional folding leaf, Hanoverian bayonet catch at muzzle, borderline engraved back action lock signed 'RL. MANUFACTORY ENFIELD' together with a crown over 'V.R.' device and the date '1843', refinished walnut full-stock stamped on the right side with an Enfield roundel behind wrist (faint), brass furniture including large patchbox, spurred lower tang and two trumpet ramrod thimbles, iron saddle-bar and swivels, tapering iron ramrod.
A GERMAN 1934 PATTERN DRESS SWORD FOR THE LUFTWAFFE SIGNED PAUL WEYERSBURG, SOLINGEN, no visible serial number, pre 1940, with fine condition lozenge cross-section 28in. blade, central blind fuller for the first third of its length, makers mark and ordnance inspector's mark at forte, carved solid nickel cross-guard in the form of drooping eagle wings, the centre mounted with a yellow metal sunwheel swastika device, spiral wire-bound blue-leather grip-piece (light wear), large sunwheel swastika disk pommel with oak leaves engraved around the circumference and complete with its blue leather scabbard (small losses to leather) with plated fittings (tarnished), and its blue leather belt-frog. Original antique travel poster for Mayson's Ordnance Model of the Lake District exhibited daily during the year at the Lake District Repository Lake Road Keswick featuring colourful bold Wild West style lettering with an illustration of a building in the centre, the text below the image introduces the model in detail with an ornate leaf decoration and frame around the image. Mayson's ordnance survey model was commissioned in 1875 by Henry and Thomas Mayson with accurate mathematical maps portraying an overview of the Lake District landscape in North West England that was displayed in until the 1970s as a tourist attraction. The Lake District National Park is a popular holiday destination that was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2017. Good condition, staining on edges, foxing, minor tear on edge. A handwritten letter to the Honourable James Stewart at the War Office from J C Herries, dated 27th February 1835, discussing proposals to alter funding grants and expenditure relating to Ordinaries and Extraordinaries in the army, as managed by the Secretary at War and the Board of Ordnance, to create efficiencies and savings, together with its first draft, two letters to Herries from a J C Broadbank, and a book page detailing 'Ways and Means, and Supplies' [J C Herries was a politician who rose through the Treasury to hold many high-level positions including Secretary at War under Sir Robert Peel (1834-1835). During the Continental Blockade of the Napoleonic wars, he worked with the Rothschild family to transfer money to British and allied troops on the continent]
