A WWI trench map of N France, in 32 sections laid on silk, double sided; ordnance Survey sheet 57c of France, d 1917; a framed list of awards, d 8th June 1918, under Army Orders of Gen Sir H S Rawlinson, coloured title, framed, 14” x 9” (creased); a coloured greetings card showing a drummer of the 3rd Hussars, and 2 other cards with regimental badge, mounted and framed 21” x 11”, all with ribbon to edge; a framed Temperance Society declaration, d 1913. **A German Third Reich period 7.9mm K98 bolt action rifle, number G154, the breech with Mauser Werke ordnance code 5/42 and date 1937, the barrel with British nitro proofs, with Waffenamt inspection marks on all metal parts, the walnut stock also bearing Waffenamt marks and an indistinct coat of arms and date. GWO & C, some parts retaining original blued finish (some service wear). Plate 6

**A good WWII German 7.9mm K98 bolt action rifle, number 8286 on all parts, the breech with ordnance code 243 and date 1940, the barrel with British nitro proofs and with detachable fore sight and muzzle protector, with waffenamt inspection marks on all parts including the beech wood butt, and with its original leather sling. GWO & clean condition. Plate 6
A scarce .577/450” Martini Henry Artillery carbine, 37½” overall, barrel 21½” with clear Enfield inspector’s marks and ordnance proofs, the frame bearing crowned “WVR” and “BSA & M Co 1874 II 2”, with 3 sling swivels and bayonet bar on the top barrel band, the fore end additionally secured by pins, the butt bearing clear Enfield store keeper’s mark, “II/2” and government sale mark, and inset with brass disc stamped “1894/ V1 A.B.A/ 191”, the cleaning rod with domed end and with white webbing sling. GWO & C. The 1874 date suggests that it is a converted rifle, as was common practice; the general issue artillery carbine was not introduced until 1879. Plate 7

Colonel Thomas Frederick Colby and others - The Ordnance and Geological Survey of England and Wales, 110 hand-coloured electrotype folding maps and an index, printed in sections and backed onto linen, published circa 1868, various sizes, index approx 131cm x 98cm, within an oak case, the fall front with painted title. Note: this part set includes cartographic and geological maps and lacks sections 10 and 16, but includes both types of section 5.
Ordnance Survey Office - `Ordnance Survey of England and Scotland (third edition)`, 146 early 20th Century colour folding maps of England and Wales, and 113 early 20th Century colour folding maps of Scotland, each approx 77cm x 52cm, and five folding indices, all contained within five original leather cases. Note: one map supplied from an earlier edition.
Ordnance Survey. Thirty-nine ‘ Old Series’ one inch maps, nos. 1 - 12, 14 - 33, 38 - 40, 47 - 48 [and] 58, [1810 - 22], index map and thirty-eight engraved maps, sectionalised and laid on linen, some very sparse outline colouring, each map approx. 640 x 930mm, contained in ten contemp. blue morocco gilt solander boxes, rubbed and frayed. The maps cover all of Southern England from Kent to Cornwall and up to South Wales. (39).

Eight ‘Old Series’ one inch maps, nos. 64 & 65, 69 & 70, [and] 83 - 86, c.1825, engraved maps with sparse outline colouring, sectionalised and laid on linen, each approx. 630 x 930mm, contained in two contemp. morocco gilt solander boxes, frayed and worn. The maps cover South Lincolnshire, Rutland, North Lincolnshire and South Yorkshire. (8).
Two silver cigarette cases with military connections one Middle Eastern with deeply chased decoration to the front of cranes and other birds amongst flowers and foliage, the back with a shallower similar pattern, the inside inscribed `R.E. Lodge Shaiba Iraq Nov 1942`, 5 x 3¼in. (12.5 x 8.25cm.), weight 7oz. (220g.), the other by Frederick Field, Birmingham 1939, of stepped oblong form with canted corners and engine turned decoration, the front with the applied insignia of the Royal Army Ordnance Corps in red, white and blue enamel, 3¼in. (8.25cm.), weight 2.45oz. (76.1g.). (2)
A military style 16 bore percussion ship’s or trade pistol, 16½” overall, barrel 10” with B’ham proofs, the flat lock stamped with crown and “Tower” and with ordnance inspector’s mark, the continental style walnut fullstock with brass trigger guard, butt cap and side plate, and with steel barrel band and original steel ramrod. GWO & basically GC (steel parts lightly pitted and worn, nipple AF). Plate 8
A fine scale model of a British Georgian Waterloo Period style field cannon. Brass tapered barrel measuring 7.5" (18cm) marked with ordnance master crown above L on fore part of barrel. Plus crown GR to breech, with touch-hole (not bored through). Mounted on a wooden truck with 12 spoked wooden metal rimmed wheels. Ammunition boxes each side, leather shot bucket hanging below with ram rod and moving rod. 15" (38cm) overall length. In a metal framed glass case with cobble/setts style base. VGC
